Sitting on the upper porch, drinking a margarita, reading an X-Wing novel and enjoying the 80 degree weather.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes.

Interesting catch UT. I sent a message to Dave.

Holy crap, just had my first small taste of Armageddon! Early yesterday morning I got home from work and was browsing the web and BOOM! Interwebz goes down. No big deal, just reboot the modem. Nope still nothing. So I figure I'll just browse on my phone. Nope. No connection to network, no 4g no mobile network at all. Nothing. No phones, not internet zero. Then I go to bed and wake up a few hours later and still nothing. Wife gets home from work at the bank and tells me everything in about a 200 mile radius is down. All mobile networks, internet, land lines, credit cards, ATMs, were down. NOTHING worked. It was nuts, if you didn't have cash you were 100% SOL. It was like going from 2014 to 1900 in a heart beat. All that still worked was electricity. Lasted about 12 hours.

My only question was how the fawk can that all go down at the same time? Like there is just a "master switch" or something :dunno

I think the NWO was running a test of some sort, seems so incredibly unlikely that all that stuff could go out simultaneously. I say there were nefarious powers at work.

That is scary as hell right there. I don't touch cash anymore as everything goes through my Amex. Don't know what I'd do if that lasted a week in my area.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Everyone has because before that she was absolutely nothing. :lol

Come to think of it, has she really even done anything significant since?

That I can think of? Nope haha, to be honest I dont think most of that whole cast has done much of anything really. Although Matthew Fox did have a big role in World War Z as a "Paratrooper" and Josh Holloway was in the last Mission Impossible for roughly 5 mins.

Yeah, we discussed the offer option at length. Thanks Ken. Also, you're going to post your list here, right?

Anyone else ahead of me besides Titus?
Nope not at all. And certainly not at the end of this multi-quote. No way would I ever do that... :monkey3

I Star Wars quote sometimes!! In my Neimoidian voice. :lol
Isn't that your normal voice? :monkey3

Off to work fellas. Can't wait to see Ken and punk's lists.
Hurry up and read em, guys, so I can delete the list before fury gets home!

This is a PARTIAL list. I'm taking a break. But I felt the need to post some, for a sense of accomplishment. I'd say this is 2/3. More to come in a few hours... I will post a complete list later, as well as a list of incomplete figures. It looks like I'll have some extra weapons as well. Perhaps we could trade some weapons, if anybody has the ones I need...
These are ALL COMPLETE, and in excellent condition except where noted. But I am no expect in grading vintage figures. I will email pictures of specific figures to interested parties.

We'd have a blast. Want to hang with all of you over a long weekend.

Please don't put the "collect loose vintage" bug into me. It's so tempting

That big list is your extras, Ken? :panic:
Yep, and that's not even all of them. I bought somebody's collection last summer. I'm finally getting around to selling some of it (I only recouped 10 bucks so far out of the $500 I spent). I mainly wanted his playsets. I have 2 Falcons to sell as well (with boxes, but I need to verify if they are complete or not).

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I had the loose vintage bug a while back. Thankfully it went away before I went too nuts. At least I got to own a Blue Snaggletooth for a while. I had always wanted to own one.

Oh, and no luck for C2E2 this year. Got denied the time off. At least I have the money to blow somewhere else. :)

You are 40. No excuse to not have vintage SW figures in your collection. :lecture

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Gentlemen, I have a serious inquiry now. Particularly for our resident vintage toy collectors. Oh, well, I guess that would be the bulk of you lot. But directed at punk, Ken, MadCow...

My coworker of many years has always wanted me to sell some of his collection on eBay and take like a 15% commission. We both watch Jordan's show Toy Hunter. While I find it quite contrived, he featured the LJN line of wrasslin toys from the 80's a few weeks ago. Afterward, my friend reminded me that he used to have a lot of them, and still has the Ultimate Warrior on the more rare end of the line black card. So when I went over for dinner, I was impressed to see the piece, in far better condition than the Hulk black card that Jordan sold to that Black Eyed Pea for like $3000.

So now of course, the Ultimate Warrior is gone, and my friend is interested in selling again. He's considering putting it up for $5000 BIN, OBO.

But I wanted to get thoughts from some of you. I'm not that in touch with that part of the collecting community.

Most importantly, do any of you know of someone who might want to buy it?

And also, what do you think of his astronomical price?

There had been one on eBay for a long time at a $3000 asking price, which has since disappeared. So we're just wondering… :dunno

I personally don't know anyone that collects vintage wrestling. You friend's best bet is to put it on Ebay with a high dollar BIN and take offers. It might turn out for the best. He could go the suction house route but then with fees and such it could cost much more to sell it.

No clue what the Warrior fig would go for. Haven't yet seen that Toy Hunter episode.

On another note for vintage Star Wars collectors currently looking, I'm going to be going through some of mine this week to see what I need and what extras I have, so if you guys like fury, Titus, Ken, or whoever else is still putting together a set post what you still need and I'll see if I have extra figs or weapons. I don't have any of the last 17 so you can leave those off the list.

Post a list or pm me one. I need complete figures and loose weapons.

How about NYCC? A bunch of us are now targeting that one. It's in October. I havent committed yet, but I'm leaning towards it...

No, not yet. I do still have your PM though. There's no rush. I'm still giving you first dibs, since I promised you long, long ago...
