I don't understand how the cell phone towers would stop working. You'd think cell phones would still work. And what about land-line telephones? You'd think those would still work (those who still have service through a traditional phone company).

That's why i don't understand.

I think it was a test by the NWO to see how they can successfully isolate a small population. :lecture

Did you happen to notice if there was a dome over your town, King? :lol

That does sound pretty freaky, though. :panic:

UNDER THE DOME :panic:
I guess I really do have first world problems. :lol

Ummm, turn on the TV or radio? You didn't say those weren't working...
Never checked to radio or tv :lol
I already texted JJJ, FLOSI, ken, and punk, but I wanted to let the other LEGO minifig collectors know that the Simpsons may be out at Walmart now. Even better, they are on sale for $2.97 this week (reg. $3.97). So just a heads up! I only saw them at one of my Walmarts though. :(

I didn't get a text :(

Gentlemen, I have a serious inquiry now. Particularly for our resident vintage toy collectors. Oh, well, I guess that would be the bulk of you lot. But directed at punk, Ken, MadCow...

My coworker of many years has always wanted me to sell some of his collection on eBay and take like a 15% commission. We both watch Jordan's show Toy Hunter. While I find it quite contrived, he featured the LJN line of wrasslin toys from the 80's a few weeks ago. Afterward, my friend reminded me that he used to have a lot of them, and still has the Ultimate Warrior on the more rare end of the line black card. So when I went over for dinner, I was impressed to see the piece, in far better condition than the Hulk black card that Jordan sold to that Black Eyed Pea for like $3000.

So now of course, the Ultimate Warrior is gone, and my friend is interested in selling again. He's considering putting it up for $5000 BIN, OBO.

But I wanted to get thoughts from some of you. I'm not that in touch with that part of the collecting community.

Most importantly, do any of you know of someone who might want to buy it?

And also, what do you think of his astronomical price?

There had been one on eBay for a long time at a $3000 asking price, which has since disappeared. So we're just wondering… :dunno

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I know no one here or otherwise that would be interested.

I will say this though, if he is gonna ell anything Warrior related now is the time, people are always wiling to part with more $$$ when they are feeling emotional or especially nostalgic about it. Strike while the iron is hot!

As for the price I have no clue what vintage rassslin' dolls go for.

No clue what the Warrior fig would go for. Haven't yet seen that Toy Hunter episode.

On another note for vintage Star Wars collectors currently looking, I'm going to be going through some of mine this week to see what I need and what extras I have, so if you guys like fury, Titus, Ken, or whoever else is still putting together a set post what you still need and I'll see if I have extra figs or weapons. I don't have any of the last 17 so you can leave those off the list.

I need almost everything! :rotfl

But I am trying to focus on the first 12 for now. Not going to frown on deals though. Especially from the Cantina. I definitely don't have dibs though.

I agree, now is definitely the time to sell. His price is definitely too high, but if he wants to go high, he should enable the "accept offers" button. That way, he can still consider any offers which he may get.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yeah, we discussed the offer option at length. Thanks Ken. Also, you're going to post your list here, right?

Anyone else ahead of me besides Titus?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Well, I need the R2 from the last 17 - so the hunt continues. Good luck to everyone else on getting what you are looking for.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I didn't get a text, but Chien knows I don't collect LEGO. :lecture

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

**** LEGO. :lecture

Actually, Toy Hunter said this week that LEGO is #2 in sales behind Mattel, and in front of Hasbro.
