I haven't been following this thread that closely, and I'm on the fence as to whether to get just the STRIKE figure or this pair. What is everyone's thinking on the pricing of this? Considering the STRIKE figure alone is $220, I was plesantly surprised at the $340 price tag. I mean, assuming that they are using a nice body, you'll pay at least $60-70 for a quality body these days, and the only shields on Ebay are $80-90, and this comes with two metal shields. Not to mention that HT heads usually sell for at least $50 depending on the figure.

So the extra $120 for the 2nd full figure with a shield almost seems like a steal? Am I wrong?

My thoughts exactly. Plus it looks the Stealth S.T.R.I.K.E. Suite doesn't come with a Chris Evans head sculpt. I want to display my Stealth suit Cap. without his helmet, so this set looks more and more like the way to go.

Nope you are absolutely spot on!! This double pack is an excellent buy. For what you'd pay for the single STRIKE figure, I personally think its worth spending the bit extra to get Steve Rogers (plus that head sculpt is just awesome). Also as someone else mentioned a custom would probably work out more expensive. Gives you more display options too!!

yes! the 2 pack is definitely worth picking up!
that chris evans civilian head sculpt is the best one yet!.

it would be hard to top! :)

how much do you reckon the civilian cap head sclupt will go for on evilbay in a year time?

This particular photo I wouldn't trust at all as far as color schemes go. The HT product photos are using much better lighting and although their color isn't always on like I said before, I'd guess that the darkness/tone of the blue suit are pretty darn close to what you see there.

Hey buddy. I kno where u are coming from :) . But I'm looking at the photo taken at hysan place in hk.

It color is off...I am a big fan of stealth suit it should be darker.

do you think is the extreme lighting from the display case?

Any idea why there is a limit of one per customer on this? Don't t hey usually do that on things that are more limited in production?

Between $60 and $100 depending on how many are released.
But there will be a bootleg for $30 too.

Maybe it *is* more limited.

Huh, I guess I mistook you for Riddick, which happens all the time :D

:gah::gah: :panic::panic:

I once got so high, i woke up in a dumpster in Boston and had to hitch-hike home

Not to a tee but that statement is close to true; like it’s based on actually events :lol

That is actually a bit odd because they usualy only do that for their exclusives but retails are getting this piece

I think we all do, dude. The battle damaged shield should have just been a sideshow exclusive or something.

Yeah I just saw the movie today and I don't remember at any point the shield having that much damage. I'm assuming they made it based on that teaser poster from last year.

When you see him in those specific civilian clothes and on the elevator in the stealth suit (both can be seen in the trailers, not trying to spoil anything for anyone), the shield is the classic red and blue. It would be a huge oversight for Hot Toys to include a shield no one wants, especially since this set isn't due for another 8-9 months.

I'm in the minority here because I really like it, but I'm also getting GA Cap with the standard shield. Why doesn't HT just include all three shields? It's a deluxe 2-pack so why not really make it a true deluxe set?

Knowing Hot Toys, it won't be as severely damaged as the proto. I'm just basing this on how the BD Movie Promo Iron Man came out.

Not *all* of us. I for one, really like that shield. Its actually one of the selling points to this set for me. Personally, if they were gonna ditch a shield, I would vote the baby blue one to go away.

I saw it for the second time today and the shield looks like that during the fight with Batroc. There is a still shot of it a few pages back in this thread.

And its fallacious to assume "no one wants" it just because you don't. At this point there are plenty of RWB shields, both plastic & metal that will be on the aftermarket. And, of course, I'm betting there will be yet another RWB when A2 comes out.
