I very much like this pic, in general I like when artists try to match the actual heights of the characters, even of this pic is slightly off.

Thor 6'6"
Iron Man (in armor) 6'6"
Luke Cage 6'6"
Captain America 6'2"
Tony Stark (sans armor) 6'1"
Ms./Captain Marvel 5'11"
Spider-Man 5'10"
Bucky 5'9"
Wolverine 5'3"

Hopefully it's just Thor's pose on this PF that makes him look not large enough. As far as core Avengers, he should be larger than almost everybody else, 2nd to Hulk (but as a long time comic reader I still have a hard time considering Hulk a core Avenger though...).

I realize scale and statue height are 2 different things, but my only gripe with this statue is even if the scale is correct, he doesn't seem large enough purely due to the height of the statue. Regardless of being in scale, even if he is 100% 1/4, it just falls down to the perception the relatively shorter height gives. The taller Batman PF might look more imposing than this Thor. If this Thor PF's overall height was taller it could possibly give the perception this Thor is larger without actual enlarging the figure. Personally in my Avengers line up I'd like Thor to stand above the other members since he is larger, not blend in with their heights.

Yeah I what your saying. But I think the fact that all these statues are showing up at about 20 inches isn't a coincidence. I think they planned for these PFs to go together. And wanted width to be the main size determining factor when it comes to the character, and not the height of the statue. (So it will be easier to display them all together)

Lol... if you guys can't see a wide stance with bent legs makes somebody not quite as tall as if they stood straight then :slap. Same with the new Hulks who are wide stanced, bent legged and leaning forward almost 90 degrees. Oh noes!! he is only 20" tall.

We know that's what makes the statues smaller inches wise, trust me. I have no complaints that the hulk statue is shorter than the cap statue because that hulk is pretty much curled up into a ball, and he is still going to look physically dominating displayed with all these guys. But what peedi was saying is that when the statue is taller in general (like bats and supes with their huge bases and fully stretched out bodies) the statue is more imposing in person. You know? Just because the DC statues or that G Hulk statues are taller, your eyes will automatically go to them first. Even though the Hulk pf is the exact same scale, and just hunched over, people can't help but be excited about that things height.

Like many people have stated, I think once people start getting this in hand, it will be a hot commodity.

People complain when it is too tall for a besta and when it is 20".

If I put Rhino next to Batman, I think Rhino is far more dominating at 18". That is just me but he looks like he could have poops the size of Batman on a daily basis.

That's exactly how I feel too. Seeing other 1/4 scales at an lcs... They look so tiny compared to skaar. And this hulk pf is pretty much going to be about the size of this skaar.

Definitely understand that people complain either way...:slap but everyone knows what they want.

Yeh, and that's the reason this won't make as an impressive display piece as say G Hulk.
It's the stance that makes him look smaller than other pieces...obviously!

I would say the shield, armor, sword and helmet add something to G Hulk as well :lol

Just a bit :lol

Yeah, I must admit g hulk is freaking impressive. And maybe one day I'll get it, but I don't think it will last as long as I'd need. Haha

If I don't get this, I'll definitely hop on that throne WW hulk if it does end up getting made. Haha (slim chances)

I tepidly showed my wife the items I'm interested in for next year to start the approval process and when she saw him the first reaction was "whoah...what's up with his hand"

I then proceeded to explain all the other reasons I liked him. I only mention this because I value her opinions as a non collector non comic person. Its always interesting what people say who arnt really in this hobby

Totally agree. I always like to hear my non collector friends' opinions. Batman's pits have not been an issue with ANY of them so far...and I never did any fixes. Just goes to show that a lot of the whining that goes on in these threads may or may not matter. In the case of Thor, I think because that hand is out front, it's sort of the first thing that catches your eye so people focus on it.

Okay Boys and Girls, because some of you asked here a Real Size comparison between G.Hulk, Rulk, M. Thor and The Classic Punisher which I know is True 1/4 Scale because I measured him myself. The only Variable is we don't know if the measurements on the Sideshow site are 100% accurate.

Notice, that if you take the feathers off G.Hulk and Stand up Rulk, they are actually similar in size, also notice that M. Thor dwarfs the Classic Punisher as far as mass goes and if he was standing up straight he'd tower over him. Now like I said, these are only based on Sideshows measurements, so in hand these might be a bit different. I always say +/- an inch with Sideshow Measurements.

They never care about those details I just avoid telling them the price and what there worth because they'd call me crazy and I'd need a collection intervention. My collection has literally boomed since last year.

Thanks! Great job. He is the height of punisher, even with that back leg bent haha. Everyone will want this when videos and hd in hand pics go up, especially me :(

I can't wait to get the Green Hulk and Pose him with the M. Thor, I think Posing them almost like I have them in the Picture would make for a killer set up. Now Just give me Iron Man and a Modern Cap and I'll be set to go.

That would look awesome. I would turn them to the right a little more and put the new Cap PF right in the middle like he is leading them. Sounds so cool.

How awesome would a hovering ironman pf be by the way. Just hovering with one leg bent at 90^ in front of the other with 2 hands in front ready to blast.

That would be a cool ironman pf, but they would probably do his arms like thors left arm.

Haha. Ouch. Kick below the belt. I think this thor looks good, I would get it if I had more money.

Does sideshow ever do the clear peg hovering technique? I've seen it in custom statues and it looks great...

[A modern Iron man Pf would be awesome! I plan on a modern set up with Hulk ex Thor Reg and hopefully a 90s Cap and Iron man in the future!QUOTE=savageHULK;6698480]That would look awesome.
