Cap brought peace to the internets.

I remember in 2011 when that summer also had four big superhero movies (X:FC, Thor, GL and Cap:TFA) and by the time Cap finally came out a lot of people were ho hum. Glad to see him having his moment in the limelight this time around, and so deservedly.

Indeed he did, this movie injects new life into the superhero genre which was starting to get stale.

My only complaint and its not really much of a valid one is that

Robert Redford wasn't the Red Skull in the end. I was fully expecting him to be, especially after BW had that digital face disguise thing. Made me think we'd be getting another face off so to speak.

The only point in contention seems to be HOW great it is. Number 1 cbm for me. Dare I say this is in my all time fave movies ever.

Actually no. Agents of SHIELD debunks the simultaneous events theory. IM3, Thor2, and Cap2 all take place in about real time apart thanks to AoS. So my complaint of the lack of SHIELD in IM 3 still stands.

I can't see him NOT returning at some point. Having just re-watched Cap1 this week, he was clearly beamed somewhere. He didn't die that's for sure. He's too big a villain to be done with him already.

Easily far and away the best Marvel movie to date for me!!!! Loved every second of it. Having TWS being my favorite comic book ever this lived up to everything I imagined and more even though it didn't follow the book. They did a fantastic job with it. I'm glad it went a little different than the book no need to follow it perfect but just about all the ingredients were there. Even though I put the TDK trilogy tops of comic book character movies, TWS now is right there with it. A perfect 10/10 for me

Yup, I have TDK trilogy over everything also, but Cap is certainly in my top 10 best superhero movies ever.

I don't think any marvel movie can be like TDK considering that the tone of their movies is more lighter and less so on the dark and gritty. The action style reminds me of the bourne identity but done in a comic book fashion

I would like to see DC`s version as they also brought back jason todd in the comic as a dark version of batman .

I'm not comparing in any way. Just love them both. Both are off the charts IMO. Cap and Batman were always my fav comic book characters. TFA I loved and was my fav marvel movie up until TWS. It was Just amazing!!! Everything you want in a comic book film. Blew away anything Iron Man, Thor, and Avengers for me. Really not even close. I enjoy the others a lot, but TWS is like perfection to me as was TDK trilogy. Love them both!!!

Personally,that was the greatest twist for me in this movie. I was extremely surprised by Sitwell being an agent of Hydra. The moment the congressman whispered "Hail Hydra" on his ear I went DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMNNNNN!. It's so crazy because he was such a big part of the Marvel One Shots and Agents of Shield. It was a fantastic use of that character.

They said they needed to sacrifice someone the audience would recognize to sell this idea as being important. He definitely fit the bill. Shandling was just icing on the cake.

I liked this movie but TDK reuined it for me, as since I like that so much I want everything to be set in that style I enjoy the dark noir tone and a lot of movies do that now bourne and even the new james bond adopt a similar approach.

And that is why I enjoy the fact that DC is still doing that as it adds variety to the movies.

Even spiderman and xmen will have their own style as long as they continue to produce good movies thats a good thing for all of us.

If marvel had the rights back not only would we be getting less comicbook movies coming out but they all would be in the same style competion between the studio's will keep them from producing bad movies as we will simiply not go see it aka green lantern.

So can anyone please explain the special paint job on Caps stealth shield? Does he have more then one shield now since he was so willing to let it fall in the lake or what ever in the end? Im sure they went fishing for it.
