Sauron is destroyed :( IMG_1754.jpg

Those look great. I can put a statue on top and store some hot toys boxes in the bottom.
That's what I have been doing. :)

WOW shrapnel :horror I absolutely love your display cases for the Supes and Endo CM's my friend :clap simply stunning my friend

Thanks. I'm concern Sauron will be too big in place of Superman and just doesn't look right next to CM Endo. I think may put Sauron in my office and move DROM into the living room next to CM Endo.

How many inches tall if the inside?

The display glass case is 33 inches high and Sauron is 35 inches tall. I'll move him to the pedestal in the office and display him without a glass case. I haven't made a glass case for him yet, but I think I will display him without one for now.

It was in this moment..when all hope had faded, that Isildur, son of the king, took up his father's Hammer from ACE Hardware and Sauron, the enemy of the Free Peoples of Middle Earth, was pounded into pieces, defeated.

:lectureIt is now corrected:lecture

I do, nice job. How did you apply it?

Looks really good nucleblast, I would like to do that with mine but I'm just way to chicken.

Well, for someone with no painting skills like myself the charcoal was the easiest way to improve the armour!I took a charcoal pencil and rasped it to dust with my cutter knife. You apply the dust with a wet brush and let it dry.Dry applying in this case doesn't work. After the coaldust has dried you can add or take away to your liking... you need a semi-hard brush, meaning the hair need to be (semi-) hard to create the nuances on the armor and spread it out in a proper manner.Once you are satisfied with your work you can fix the coaldust with a resin-based fixative (transparent spray) you can buy in hobby shops.
The natural result with the coal treatment is that the complete armour gets a different grey colour which look much more like a metal one and reflects more the colour as seen in the movie.

Thanks for the tips. I have a few extra pieces from my replacement parts I can test on.

I hate how it seems like many people are doing custom jobs on theirs to make the armor look more real. Makes me nervous, two more flex pays and all I want to do is cancel. I have never spent this much before on statue and I want it to be an excellent experience. Errrrr

There are a few that have done customs and they look cool. That being said there are many people (myself included) that love how the statue looks coming out of the box. I do personally believe you're going to love it as it looks coming out of the box. Go back and look at the pics I took of it when I got it outside in natural light. Be calm you're about to get a wonderful piece. :duff

The statue is amazing right out of the box.
