I noticed there's not many left hands, but most of the hands aren't going to get used by me anyway. I found a left & right that looks good resting on his belt so I'm happy.

That's my latest pose with hands on belt. I do agree though there should be a few more left hands.

At the very least an open left hand. All the hand gestures from the famous "I'm your father" gantry scene are done with the left hand.

That's actually why he needs more left hands. So he can be holding the saber in the right.

THIS. I've been thinking the very same thing since I first took notice of all the right hands. It's almost natural that you want him holding the saber in on hand and gesturing with the other. The only way to do that is to put the saber in his left hand. I don't think myself overly OCD with my figures but I just can't put it in his left hand.

Yeah, I would love a pointing left hand. If you notice, he points at Luke a few times while fighting in Empire. What really irks me is that I have been futzing my ANH Vader a little here and there, trying to improve him so that he can even stand next to the new one, and he has barely any hands. I missed out on the exclusive when he came out, so I am restrained to gripping hands, open right hand, and fists. I love the plethora of hand with the new one, but I agree, a little variety for his left would have been greatly appreciated.

I think we will get the left hands with the esb Vader. Lol
You know it's going to happen eventually. I see at least 3 more vaders from ss. Rots, esb and a Mcquarrie vader.

I'm with you on that; definitely should have come with an 'I am your father' left hand. That's how I really wanted to pose him, and I'm surprised Sideshow left it out as it's such an iconic scene.

But that's not from Rotj and that's what this figure is from. I totally see wanting more hands but you know ss is thinking we will do that with the esb version.

The title is wrong. Originally it was for both but they changed it to just rotj

This falls under the 'nerdpicking' category, but I've seen this repeated too many times for my nerdism to tolerate it any further. When Vader said "No, I am your father", neither of his hands were raised.
The famous 'outstretched open hand' scene that followed had this dialog: "Join me, and together we can rule the galaxy as father and son", the open hand extended on the word 'son', and remaining extended with the words, "Come with me; it is the only way."

The fact that this is such a strong moment in the film, and the outstretched hand is such a recognizable visual image, is why people should associate the correct dialog with the left hand that Sideshow failed to provide us with, and why we should want that hand in the first place.
There. Now I won't get laid for another year. I feel better already!

preach it!

This falls under the 'nerdpicking' category,

A "scene" in a movie is more than a single line of dialog, so when someone references the "I am your father scene," if they're like me, they're talking about the entire gantry sequence where Vader and Luke are chatting and exchange many lines of dialog. In this entire scene, Vader motions and raises his left hand multiple times with multiple different hand/finger positions.

But respect for the attention to detail.
