Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Apparently, my MOS Supes has been held hostage in Sideshow's warehouse for 3 weeks by "internet gremlins" as per SSC's rep after calling yesterday :lol

Sideshow was awesome enough to send a gift with my Supes for the inconvenience and it turns out to be a free Hot Toys Amazing Spider Man figure! How cool is that?!

They gave you a free HT Spider-Man figure? You must be very happy.....

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I know right?! How ironic is that?! :lol

But, I'd prefer Spidey over Angelica since I have her already so I'm not complaining!

By the way I like how you created your signature.......and the intention behind it. I bet you love how badly it must annoy others (or everyone) lol! :lol

And I like Downey Junior and his (very entertaining) Ironman roles/movies. But I don't like ironmen (tin man / metal man) figures lol!

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Did anyone notice or pay attention to the scene where Faora says "General Zod would like 'this' woman (Lois) to accompany me".

Loved that scene. Point is that right after, the pod ship leaves earth with Lois and Clark to travel to the main ship (I understand that the movie has several hints for batman and lex, and the slight batman like merged logo on Jor Els chest armour), but did anyone notice this (below pics)?

I took it with my camera to show, it's when the pod ship entered the main ship. Is this coincidental? Or it just mmmmm?

Very batman themed though, just for observation.

And I loved Jor El with the flying banshee (Avatar like) creature called Haraka, but so sad the poor sod died:ohbfrank: ('sod' not in an offensive manner, but you know what I mean).

Mastige. Stargate.
I have been on the Stargate set...

The entire point of them needing Lois is that Lois was the only one that knew his identity. It was all over the news from that blogger guy that Lois knew who he was.
And she mentioned that they invaded her mind for info just like they invaded Clark's.
And that's likely how they got the location of the Kent farm.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Of course. But why would you want to???

Thanks a lot.
It's just like i hoped it would be.

Lol.
The head needs dremelled till light will freely show through the eyes and cheeks.
The wiring parts are two 5mm Superbright red LEDs, soldered together, then with a wire per pole connected to a battery holder.
Very simple. Easy to do for anyone with the parts and a soldering iron.
I used blu tack inside the hollowed out head to hold the LEDS in place. I could have secured them but don't feel the need to.

Where do you get the battery holder from Barry?

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Bar, now that you have your HT MOS, can you take a pic of it with the Modern life sculpt?

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Best i can do this late at night. I'll try and get better light images tomorrow.

Thanks man. Excellent paintjob on the custom sculpt.
I'm tempted to pick up another MOS and do the dream sequence black suit
And maybe use that sculpt.
I appreciate the pics.

Actually I was talking about coming up to my point regarding the 'batman themed style entrance' of the ship (just used the Faora quote so that people would remember the scene I mentioned) I know why they took Lois.

Wow you were on the Stargate 'The Movie' set. You are very lucky (or very famous). That movie has and will always be my favourite. I have the ultimate collectors edition on bluray, love it.

Sometimes I scare the poor lady by telling her that I have a cross hole in my tummy and that The Goa'uld are coming.

Jut out of curiosity, how long does Tony normally take to make a cape? Never purchased anything from him before and was wandering when to expect it.

That Modern Life sculpt looks lie an angry / evil version of Henry Cavill. I can see a bit of subtle stubble on his moustache. I think if you did a red laser eye version on him it would look cinematic or he could just be Evil Man of Steel version.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I am cracking up at the "Batmidget" look when you put Supes next to Bats.

I got that. But i was talking about the other part.

I was on the set of the TV show. Not the movie. I was only 17 when that movie came out, lol. 20 years ago...
I have LOADS of great pics i took on the sets. https://i52.photobucket.com/albums/...ames_are_taken/Kinneil house/Baratthegate.jpg

Yeah? Where did you wander to?
:wink1:

*typo looks like

Yeah, you can edit your previous post to fix the error.

Thanks a lot.
I got three of them. But the paintjob i got on mine cost enough that each sculpt cost more than buying an entire MOS figure when you factor in the initial $60 purchase price and the cost per paintjob.
I personally believe although it's not perfect, it's better if you are using a TT body for a custom Cavill, and it also has a less wide face than the HT one.
