Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Thanks buddy. :duff
Now that I actually had a chance to futz with it more,
I re-installed the cape so that its loose around the neck, I think it actually looks even better. :)
My camera is out of juice, so ill post an updated pic tomorrow.

Gipetto, you're gonna love this figure when you get yours.
It easily has become one of my most favorite figure ever.
Dude I cannot wait! Got bumped up a day so mine is out for delivery and should be on my doorstep when I get home :yess:

Think I'm going to buy a second body/suit set for modding purposes so I have one intact and mint and one to play with then decide on which to display

Look forward to your pics, your ones of Jor-El were great!

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

didn't read the comments but I'm sure I'm not the first pointing this out,
this suit is super vulnerable to any stretch action. If you want it pristine,
don't do any (and I mean ANY) articulation at all nor use the clamp ! ! !

Grats man, You're gonna feel like Christmas all over again when you open the box. :)

Nice pics Paramore. :clap

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I just got mine today. I don't want a flying pose, but how do you use the provided stand to do a regular standing pose? I can't get the clamp to move from the top of the pole!

it doesn't move down. you have to bend/twist the pole to try to get it lowere. I have the post just straight up with it kinf of keeping him from falling back

thanks! however, I got lucky there :lol my pics usually suck :lol
badass :rock

reminds me of this:

Thanks!

It's Johnny Depp as Sweeney Todd.
I love you bloodied Todd...I always wanted to get a second head and shirt and make one like yours. Did you do that yourself?
Grats man, You're gonna feel like Christmas all over again when you open the box. :)
thanks! it really was...well kind of like a bday gift that came 2 days late :lol I had to get in the moment though. Had the Bluray playing in the backgroud as I opened this bad boy up.

But wow! super dooper impressed here more so than i thought I would be. however, I see why you guys are modding him. I'm going to keep this guy mint though and not even going to buy a spare suit/body to customize. I love it as is. with that said, mine had some super sloppy excess red paint around the chest symbol all over the dark blue edge. that was an easy fix though thankfully. Just cleaned that up with some semi-gloss navy blue paint and presto it's perfect (for me).

Like I said, I see why you guys are modding him but man I won't do it. just too damn nice looking already :lol I'll just let the PF be my piece with an accurate suit.

ha ha, kinda did the same, I watched the MOS bluray special features the night before, and then I watched the movie the night I received the figure. :)

Yeah, I remember you said that eventually, you got turned off with the dx12 having too much work.
But for me, the big difference is that the dx12 needed a LOT of work to look great. Unmodded, it was an underwhelming figure. I almost sold it when I first got it and I have mentioned before that it was my most underwhelming experience opening a Hot toys figure.
But once modded, the dx12 shines.
The big difference here is that HT MOS, even when stock, is freaking fantastic! Even before I modded mine, I would always look in awe seeing it in the shelf.
Its just that the mods, it even brings it to another level.

Man, I'm jealous...I really really want to get the MOS PF, but I've made a promise that its just 1/6 from now on cause I have no room in my little humble abode. lol.
But man, I've been tempted many times to break that rule. From the video I've seen of the MOS PF, its gonna be a beast!

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Ive had this figure for over a week now and I cant put him down. Its without a doubt my favorite figure right now. So because i love him so much I ordered a second one and just got in a extra H.T. head sculpt to make a Clark Kent custom.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Does the MOS base and DX12 base fit in together on one detolf shelf?

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Mine came today but I wasn't around to sign for it.
I like that you can leave your signature on the door for the next day, as I work a 9-5.

Idk my building manager used to sign for packages from USPS and UPS... I guess Fedex comes in the building or something...

Yea man I totally agree about the DX12 being a bit of a disappointment. Like it was cool but not nearly great. It was really a "I just spent almost $300 on something that I'm about to tear down and rework." it was fun doing but in the end just didn't feel worth it and like you said, just ended up being disappointing.

But like you said, big difference here is that it's already beautiful. I still envy yours b/c I think it's damn near perfect right from the screen. Just cant get myself to do it :lol

And yea the PF is fantastic looking. I'm really impressed that SS went back and changed the costume of their initial proto to be more accurate. Only reason I'm able to get it is b/c I cut back so much in 2013 and made sure I had the money aside for all my must haves. Passing up on The Crow and the DX13 were really tough ones but Superman>all :lol I'm running out of space as well but thankfully Coco is making me some PF shelves for both Comic and MoS Superman PFs :yess: but I think that will be my PF limit (at least ones that can be displayed) until I get a larger place

I sold the few 1/4 I have, and decided to keep just the 1/4 Eb batman and my SS captain America the first avenger.
I have two display cases perfect for 1/4.
The rest are in detolf.
But even in 1/6, I'm running out of room.
If I probably had room, I might have pulled the trigger on the MOS PF.
I was actually close to pulling the trigger for the Pf.
I was just waiting to see if ht would fix the chubby body, fortunately they did so I kept my PO.

I'm really worried though when SS releases the Pf. My will might break down once I see in hand pics. :lol
I really enjoyed the movie a lot.
