If you're in such a hurry for a response, try doing as they suggest on their site and give them a call :dunno

There's some irony in that what you're doing is in fact 'swamping them with emails'.

Sure...I'll call them...from Australia. Paid a lot for the figure...may as well pay a lot for the phone call.

I received my Vader 5 days ago (Jan 29).

I immediately emailed Sideshow after discovering a broken left tusk, scuffed display dome and some very dodgy wiring on his belt.

After 3 days I received no reply.

I emailed them again.

24 hours later.

Still no reply.

Emailed them again last night.

Still no reply.

This is beyond ridiculous.

Are they honestly so swamped with emails regarding defective items that they can't reply to me?

My last email was addressed to their "exchange" address, their "customer service" address and to Dawn, who seems to deal with all the orders.

Surely someone will get back to me soon...

I also had no response for days, but as soon as I told them I will contact my credit card to reverse the payment, they responded!!!

Which would make the better Smeagol figure? Left or right?

That's a silly comparison.

The paint scheme for Vader works perfectly even in your own home, just as it did in the movies. You didn't see it until you had it up in daylight. I will bet that the amount of Vader buyers that will display him out in the open in direct daylight are about as many as I can count on my fingers.

I turned on my vader's electronics during the superbowl and by Denver's first fumble the belt lights had completely disappeared. :lol

I didn't see the scuff until I had it in daylight, and I didn't see the paint chip on the shoulder armor until I lifted the cape. ;)

Has anyone replaced the neck post (and peg) on this guy with something a tiny bit shorter? As it stands, the whole head sits too high off the armor, but I'd really hate to hack the bottom of the sculpt to try and get it lower, but I'd have no problem hacking a spare neck post though.

After receiving my Darth Vader, I'm so happy I got it. The helmet is way better in person than any of the photos represent! Extremely happy that I don't have to mod it!

Yeah, I'm sorry but all this complaining about demanding a faster response sounds like entitlement to me. Its like the person who's third in line at a 7-11 and is huffing and puffing because clearly their time, and item they're purchasing, is more important then everyone else's. They have a phone number so you can call, that's a direct line to them and theyll straighten things out in a hurry. They also have live chat. There is no excuse for whining. And yeah, they probably are swamped. I've emailed them and have response times that range from one day to almost 4. I always email because I'm home with the baby all day and don't want to bother with being on the phone with a customer service rep. I don't mind the wait.

Secondly, SSC has the one of the best, if not the best customer service for this stuff. Up to 30 days you can return the figure if you're not happy with it, they'll replace broken parts, give you full or partial refunds etc. Theyll usually always work with you as long as you're being reasonable. Whats the problem? Even more reasons not to whine.

My replacement head came but the dome was crooked and had scratches. I just popped the tusks off and glued them on my original. Much happier and easier.

Well said, Fiend. At the end of the day, it's a toy, and SSC will make it right. There's no excuse for not using IM. No LD and they respond most times pretty much immediately. No need to get all bent out of shape over trivial problems like this.

I emailed them on Jan.22, I did live chat about a week later, they had received my email and it wasn't lost like I thought it was.

I'm in the club and I'm in the States. Just waiting for my local shop to get it in so I can pick it up. :gah:
