Will open mine tonight and check...I've already emailed William at Sideshow so hoping to hear his thoughts on this and perhaps get a replacement sent out or indeed a nice hefty partial refund should suffice :lecture

Let us know Rob. I think they're all going to be the same but we shall see!

wouldn't have noticed if i wasn't told about the arc reactor , still looks great !!!

looks bloody great! but its still something that we shouldn't have to accept when paying for these high end collectibles. It's gonna be interesting to see how Sideshow play this out. If indeed this is happening to each of the 3000 busts will they start issueing out partial refunds or will they have them called back in to be corrected? If so, what will happen to those who have ordered from a local retailer? I doubt their local retailer would partially refund them? Sideshow have really screwed themselves up on this one! :lecture

The LSB looks really great, but this kind of mistake (after all the waiting) is NOT acceptable.
I don't plan displaying mine without the chest plate, but knowing it's NOT movie accurate, it would bug me like hell.

Even with a hefty rebate, it is NOT acceptable... I would ask for a replacement...

I bet they do nothing.

If all 3000 have this defect Marc then I doubt their replacements will be correct either :dunno that's why Sideshows next move will be very interesting...they are either gonna say accept it the way it is and accept $50 partial refund or they will ask you to send it back for a full refund. Lets be honest, once its inhand and you fall in love with it, chances are your just gonna take the partial refund...plus you've waited over a year for it too!!! :slap

Man it looks so good but what a bad error on sideshows part. How on earth can this be missed?

I still dont think it would put me off tho as its so nice.

Waiting to see some vids on the tube ;)

Make no mistake, I absolutely love this statue. I'll probably get ragged on for this but the inaccuracy is something that doesn't bother me too much currently because I will always have the chest plate on.

That being said, I still want to find out what can be done in regards to the issue.

I know :exactly: Still cant believe they got such a crucial part of the bust so badly wrong...:dunno

luckily for those who choose to display it with the chest plate on, it shouldn't be too much of a problem but for others, the inaccuracy would just play on their mind a lot...especially when such a nice part of the feature is to remove the chest panel to see the detail of the arc reactor...:(

is it common mistake or individual hiccup? can the circle plate be rotated?

Apparently not :( its a solid piece that cant be taken out or rotated...

as quoted by Raikirik

'So upon inspection it's all one solid piece that seems to be glued on separately. You'll have to take off the whole circular piece if you want to rearrange it unfortunately.

If it was something that moved like a dial I wouldn't cause a fuss but you'll actually have to do a little work to fix this.'

True and I feel for the people that want to display it with the chest plate off.

not long before I get to check mine but I'm already fearing the worse :( :lol

I think you'll love it but there will always be that nagging feeling about the arc if yours does turn out to be upside down as well.

There are also some inaccuracies on the maquettes as but they aren't as glaring as this one.
