I read that one once during the last 500 pages or so!

Here it is:

I got my replacement head for the one that had a scuff mark on the dome. Unfortunately, the replacement head's nose is only half painted the silver it's supposed to be.

While finding that I found this variation:

On closer inspection, my masked head has several areas with stray paint and some weird indentations at the bottoms of the eyes. Glossy black/gray really shows every error =/

Christina rocks, and so does Jennifer even more so. I spoke to Christina today, asking what the general policy is for missing/broken parts. She told me exactly what I had hoped to hear: You don't need to pack up the whole thing and send it back, just because one piece is missing or damaged. I expressed the following concern: What if I bought the exclusive version of something, I need to get it replaced for damage or QC issues, but SS is sold out of the exclusive version? She replied, "You keep the exclusive item no matter what." After dealing with them since 2005, I'm convinced they are very ethical, generous and flexible in their practices.

I think when 90% of people get theirs trouble-free they leave the thread. Most of the folks left behind are either debating whether to purchase, or raising QC issues. Oh, and the other two who still want to talk about the height.

That's the entire point. That is how we are supposed to view him. They set it up that way from the very start.

No!!! He's supposed to give an instant impression of SIZE, but when he is interacting with other characters, he is supposed to be just big, and that's then consistent throughout the three films. It's an establishing shot, and over with very quickly, and meant not to illustrate his real size, but leave a subliminal impression.

I ordered him using paypal last week and received him today.

I got a replacement head this Monday. The head was heavily wrapped in green bubble wrap, with additional paper to pad and fill out the box, very carefully packaged. My replacement head is in perfect condition tusks and all.

Cheers, thanks for letting me know. Here are a few pics of the scratches on my dome. I think this is worth asking for a replacement right? It's the marks on the centre column of the dome on the forehead part.

No, took them 3 days
I will NEVER buy from Sideshow again. The only reason to get it from them was for the severed gauntlet.

I ordered him using paypal last week and received him today.

It must be because I live outside of the USA. In stock items have Paypal at checkout but not pre-orders.
