Why are you knocking the iPad's camera? I took these photos with an iPad:

OK Sideshow we are ready for the "Deluxe Stormtrooper" announcement...hopefully at Toy fair in a few weeks...and maybe in hand by end of 2014???

We're all hoping. That's when i'll buy 4 of them. Clone troopers to me aren't as cool as the Original troops. Still like them but not enough to buy a ton. Like I have stated maybe a couple Deluxe Clones along with Echo and Five. If they make a Captain Rex 2.0 count me in but that's it. Bring on Stormtrooper's and Scout Troopers please! Vader needs his army.

Wow! Are those stormtroopers stock or modded?

They're the troopers from the Han and Luke set, with rubber knobs mounted to the neck pegs so that the helmets can be worn. Also, which isn't obvious from the photos, I narrowed the width of the chest armor and swapped the original floppy bodies for the tighter ones that came from the later Sandtrooper figures so they can stand on their own.

those Stormies were $89. If SS revisits them they'll be $169 I guarantee it.

$179 more like...being deluxe they will have all the hands, probably multiple guns...maybe a generic head portrait without the helmet...

Well, after his ibernation period, the bear leaves his lair ...


Having covered the few pages of this thread where I could admire some very beautiful shots and see that life is an eternal resumption in this sense that from a thread to another, infatuation, frenzy, impatience, nervousness , frustration and jubilation are with go... I bring my contribution, quite modest.

I received my little package last Monday.
No double packaging (ie lack of discretion therefore risk of stealing or damage during transport): Hum ... I do not like that. But luckily the box was in perfect condition. Good.
I unpack, nice box, and ... Wowww! Prettyyyyy!
Helmet is fairly well designed. Okay, it's true that these arms are a tad rachitic! Good, I will bring some improvements later (because at the moment the house is still in finishing work).

No broken tusk or frayed cape ... No default painting either ...
But... But... But... Where are the 2 lightsabers?!
Glup and reglup.
I immediately address a message to Sideshow. Four days later, having not heard, I revive.
Well, I do not worry too much: their after sales service looks pretty effective, but still ...


... Will take some shots later.

The Waxer and Boil 2 pack was $225 and it included a 3rd figure. There's no reason a pair of new stormtroopers would cost more. Right?

No offense intended, but those aren't very good photos. I'm speaking only of the properties of the camera, not your composition nor the subject matter.

Worse than my Olympus digital from 2001. The iPad has terrible low light performance, bad focus, no depth of field control, low resolution, poor color reproduction, no flash, slow, etc. Images from it just look like they were taken with a $5 camera.

The iPhone is much better in every way, but still terrible compared to a point-and-shoot, especially with "flash." I have two iPads and an iPhone in the house, so I have a lot of opportunities to see the garbage that comes from their sensors. My photo stream has a bunch of "convenience" photos taken with the iPhone 4 in it. All the better pictures were taken with a Nikon SLR.

Convenience is what these devices offer, and having ANY camera is better than having no camera in every situation of course.

Now let's forget about the camera and tell us about the awesome scale of the figures in your photo!
