There seems to be a few reports of broken tusks, but I haven't seen any reports of any scuff marks on the dome like mine has. Are most of you guys finding your domes without any scuff marks? If so, this makes me hopeful that the replacement head Sideshow is sending me will be scuff free!

no issues with mine at all - seems very well packed

Since I lost mine tusk(think thats what it is called) I decide to make my own with metal parts
- custom silver aluminum tube
- tiny pin head Chrome
- drill tiny hole on each side to insert these metal parts in and seal it with crazy glue

from Left to Right
Left- SSV2 Anikan Head
Middle- SSV2 Vader Helmet w/helmet lower mod and metal tusk
Right- SSV1 Vader head

For those waiting for yours to ship, I was just told mine is currently on the truck. I tried to get expedited shipping but was told that it was already out the door. Shipping emails should be going out today. (unless I just had smoke blown up my arse)

This is good news man! thanks for the update. When is yours estimated on getting to you? I haven't received notice yet *fingers crossed* I do

No idea. I'm starting to think she was full of *****. Still says shipping soon, haven't received a shipping email and now Sideshow's chat service is down. Looks like they'd rather keep quiet and weather the storm until they can get these out the door. Tempted to ask for a refund and just go through BBTS. Their warehouse is 20 minutes from my house so I usually get items next day. They don't have it in stock yet but I'd still probably receive it from them before SS at this point.

Has anyone gotten any capes that were not frayed? The cape I received was pretty frayed, to the point I pulled off parts that weren't cut properly. just want to make sure thats normal before I contact Sideshow.

Don't know about that. Could be another week or two+ before distributors get their supplies. Considering how swamped SSC is at the moment, don't think I'd ask for any changes. Probably something else would just get screwed up.

made the helmet lower

Wow, you and King have got serious stones to cut such a major chunk off this figure! I was considering a similar measure with perhaps just a file or some sandpaper to drop the back of the helmet down 1/8 of an inch, but mine has a broken tusk and am awaiting a replacement from Sideshow. But both your Vaders look great.

Hey, you must've missed it when I responded to your question earlier. There should be no fraying at all. Both my tunic and cape have a smooth and even cut all the way around. It is not normal, and you should contact SS asap.

I just sent my first ever "dissatisfied customer" type email. Im sure nothing will come of it but this is frustrating. I was charged over a week ago and still nothing. Never had issues with SS in the past and I do understand problems arise. But I don't like being kept in the dark when my money is involved. EIther tell me "we don't know" or give me a solid answer. When I'm told it's on the truck, that tells me it's been shipped. Doesn't seem to be the case so I was just lied to.

yea..... when I was sawing the top of the head..... then I realize how thick and solid it was........... T__T and while sawing it, I accidentally lost one of the tusk on the left side. I end up making a metal one instead.....

She told me they are expecting their shipment to come in the warehouse today from the docks where they were held in customs for inspections. So she may have meant they were on the truck on their way to the warehouse.

Ppl have an over simplified expectation of how a large scale company like sideshow works. It's not one person with their hands on every part of the process so sometimes there are going to be issues like this. Impatience is pretty much expected when a new release hits the street but cut ssc some slack. Not unlimited slack but some.

It can be difficult to keep billing and shipping departments in sync during the best of times. When they bill it's with full intention of shipping right away. The credit card company says they have over a month to do so, just in case anyone was wondering about that part.

I just received Vader and can see the tusk has broken off the left side. I can see it in the box.

Has anyone glued their tusks back on or do I need to contact Sideshow as well for a replacement head? If it can be glued, any recommendations?

Yea I don't blame you man. I was charged last Wednesday and I was told Friday it would ship, But here I am still waiting.Them telling you its in the truck seems vague. It had to be Vader :/ I'm trying to just stay patient and positive about the whole situation. Didn't someone here get a notice today? I think I read that a few posts back

As long as it's not completely broken, but just out of it's hole, then a tiny dab of superglue should do it. A few others have reported doing the same.

I see that. Looks great. Where did you get the chrome aluminum tubing to make them?
