SideShow Deluxe, Hot Toys Luke EX, Medicom 2.0.

VERRRRRRY surprised at the new SideShow compared to the Hot Toys Luke. I figured they'd be much closer in scale.

So the Hot Toys helmet is wrong too.

Great Pics guys I can't wait for him.Was charged yesterday got him for $152 shipped with pack out but, wont ship till tomorrow apparently they told me that they have lots of orders that they're trying to catch up on.

Glad SS knocked Vader out of the park. The scale don't bother me one bit, sure hope this is a sign of things to come for SS Luke and Han. (still the human paints apps worry me)

I have to say the figure is really awesome. One small complaint is that the bottom of the cape is frayed and not sewn down. It looks a bit sloppy close up.

Also my helmet stand is crooked. I've emailed Sideshow about a replacement, hopefully they'll do something about it. I wonder if anyone else on the boards has this problem too.

Edit: My Wolffe figure shipped but not Vader and I ordered Vader within 5 mins of the preorder going up? Ah well, patience I suppose.

By himself maybe. Standing next to other figures which are supposed to be in scale, it looks stupidly huge.

I couldn't get past the skiny body, how the hell do they spend so much dev time and money into the fancy extras and not give him an accurate body!!!!
I mean i'm no DV expert but i know damn well David Prowse was beefier than that in costume.

Perhaps the primary consideration was increased articulation. The previous body was a lot beefier but posing options on that one are limited.

I'd normally be one to say that a set should be free of extraneous accessories to keep costs down, but in this case I'd be fine shelling out the MSRP for stuff I'd likely never use or display 'cause it's all about being a 'Deluxe' set. I've spent all day thinking ahead to my next car insurance bill just to keep me from hitting the button on this. Hopefully these will be around for a while 'til my funds grow a bit.

Damn, this is one of my concern as well. I assumed HT and SS worked together quite often as they sometimes share the same license, and they'd try to scale this with the DX07 Luke as thats what most folks are pose him with.


I guess Lord Vader will go next to HT MoS when he arrive, as they will be displayed in the new, larger 1/6 scale shelf.

Ok i can see them using a slimmer body for increased articulation but why use a slim body with a slim body suit?
They should have used a muscle body and then made the body suit slighty larger to allow articulation.

That's right, Ed Gein claims he part financed his insanely massive collection by selling his plasma:

I've sold plasma twice a week for almost 5 years.

That's not to say I've paid for it ALL with plasma money, but it's the main source.

I don't know if I can drain myself of enough blood in that period of time, but the local fertility clinic might be an option. Better get onto those deposits!

How? It's the same "yesism" that led to GL having Greedo shoot first. No matter how terrible it looks, there's people willing to say "oh yes, this looks wonderful", no matter what's wrong. At least he was paying the people that kissed his arse.

I will wait and see what a new KP body and a custom cape (to adjust for the reduction in height) does for this. Until then, up yours Sideshow. C+ at best.

From what's been said already this suit won't be as easily removed to switch the body as the ANH version.
