If only it was the same price as the first run. This time around, it seems SSC with its reward points and FlexPay option is more favorable.

Well, technically you still save a little more with AEC but since all my reward points are piled onto SSC, I rather just cough up the extra few bucks with FlexPay and add to my current accumulation.

It's custom. Here's the recipe:

IKEA MALM 3-Drawer unit + some extra wood to extend it to the side.
IKEA Harlig door and hinges to cover the opening left from the side extension.
Replace IKEA MALM top with a piece of thick MDF that spans the entire with of the MALM plus extension.
Custom paint the MALM cabinet for two-tone effect.
Glass door cabinet rails from McMaster Carr - attach the bottom one to the table top and the top one to the ceiling.
Custom-cut panes of 1/4" thick glass to fit the height and width of your display (measurements can be calculated with instructions from the rails)
Internal shelving done with plywood and $1ea IKEA shelf brackets.
Sweat, effort, planning and time as needed.



The space used to be a closet - I removed the bulkhead and jambs to turn it into an alcove before starting the custom cabinet. Since this is my office, I didn't need a closet in it. Should I move, it's easy to turn back into a closet with sliding door rails.

If you won't use the points at AE, but you will at Sideshow, definitely go with Sideshow, because the $31.25 is greater than the $30 difference in price between the two.

Wow this set is amazing, Bruce Wayne and Alfred with the suit in the armory, this is the ultimate 1/6 scale Nolan batman collection. I always wanted a hot toys nolan batman figure but never ended up getting one (was waiting to see if they would make alfred)and I'm glad I didnt now, this set contains everything I could ever want in a 1/6 batman display! Nice job hot toys I preordered thru bbts, now just have to work on saving for this beast of a set

So in the Blake thread there's a picture posted from what looks to be some magazine or catalog. I can't read the foreign language but there's some English words namely "Rises", "Batman Armory", "Lucius Fox", and "John Blake"....all I know is I really hope Hot Toys isn't intending on releasing two armories in one year.

I might be interested in a Blake and Fox figure, but a TDKR armory is just redundant. I could see if he had a different suit in the movie it might be worth picking up, but the suit was the same and it's even less appealing with the TDK armory coming before. If the TDK armory is anything to go by it doesn't seem like Fox and Blake would be sold seperately and that would be a shame as I'm sure many wouldn't feel the need to double dip on another armory.

So we know about the Dark Knight Rises armory, what about that Batsignal we saw? A diorama pack with the Rises armory + Signal + a couple of figures? That would easily be $700.00
