Re: Custom In-Wall Shelf 110"x38"x28"

Seems like wasted space beneath the shelve. Why not cabinets with doors or extra shelves.

It definitely is wasted space, but the design calls for the couch to push up against the half wall. Measured so that it works out almost to where the couch will come up to the bottom of the shelf. TV on the opposite wall.

But the furnace room, which is whats behind it allows for storage underneath the shelf so not all is wasted.

Thanks man, so much work but going to be very worth it. Always wanted to just have everything on one big shelf, mix and match lines, can't wait to see it all finished and have enough money to actually fill it up with figs! :yess:

Nothing beats a collection at eye level. It's the only way to go imo. That and the smile you'll have when all the dust settles and the paint dries. :wink1:

I've always had to put my collection in just makeshift shelving, it'll be worth it to finally have something like you say, at eye level :)

You can fit a whole lot of Pf in there, seem enough space front and back Pf.

Thanks guys, it's coming along. Not much done the last couple days due to my day job. But I did buy the track lighting, then realized how much they bothered me being in my field of view. So I returned them and bout 4 3" LED can lights. Cut the holes and tested for size, now just waiting for the paint so that I can install them :)

Figured I would test one out, can't wait to get this done. It's close to what I envisioned at this point

Things are getting done, first coat of paint is on but nothing worthy of showing yet. Few more days I'm thinking and I'll have it stuffed with figs. In the meantime here is a shot of all my guys waiting for their new home. Getting cramped

Good work! Im currently going through the same thing converting my garage to a display area. Nothing beats putting your own sweat and creativity in your personal space.

Looking real good.

Just have to ask... you can still get to the furnace, right?

Because that sort of thing has been done before.:lol

Yup, I have a door around the corner to the furnace and water heater.

Well, I'm all done other then baseboards, carpet and stuffing the shelf with figs! Can't wait for the paint to be cured enough to put everyone in there.
