A magnificent sculpt, but the Meryl Streep/Sandahl Bergman/Myra Breckenridge-like face is astonishingly off-model for Wonder Woman. Part of WW's charm is the contrast between her formidable, super-athletic Amazon body and a sweet, round, goddess-beautiful face -- pure power and strength balanced by love, compassion and sensitivity. That's the conceptual essence of this particular character, what differentiates her from most other superheroes. The straightforward female athlete presented here has a face that realistically matches the character of her body, which is perfectly fine if all one wants is the statue of a "handsome" woman warrior in tip-top physical shape. But anyone seeking a more iconic version of WW, one that radiates the true flavor and personality of the Amazon Princess we've enjoyed all these years, should simply look elsewhere for a representation. That damning statement aside, there's something undeniably interesting about this modern, "any female at the gym can become Wonder Woman" approach to the sculpt, giving it it's own unique and agreeable personality. So maybe I'll add it to my collection after all...
