from my perspective ,if you just want a companion piece to supes ,a for display ,you can put a version together quite cheaply ,the knock off head and a knock off body ,for what shows of the blue suit and boots you could use generic boots as long as you got the long smock you could use the blue legs from a captain action jump suit for sleeves or position the arms so the slits are closed ,if your feeling extravagant you could dress it up with the codex or his gun

just thrown this together ,first pic knock off head all hot toys ,second pic knock off head ,body ,cap action legs for sleeves ,action man generic boots ,quickest ones i could find lol ,knock off body has no padding at its waist like the hot toys does ,it would look better filled out ,but i think it could look ok as a stand in for the real thing if you didnt want to break the bank fora real one

Just got my Jor-El from the mailman about 30 minutes ago. Superb figure and another triumph for Hot Toys. Just need Supes now.

I nabbed a Jor El last night from SSC using my points. $112 shipped, pretty pumped. I didnt want him to turn into Odin for me and regret I didnt get him, and have to track him down later.

He will wait patiently on a shelf by himself for Kal to arrive.

I do but $200 is $200 you know what I mean? And the figure doesn't really pop for me, I'm just afraid I'm going to regret it later when the prices go up. Is SS going to give a holiday coupon or something?

Save that money for later on when you see something that makes you say, "I can't live without that!" And such a thing will be down the pike, probably sooner than later.

Like a different state? I think the shipping back to me would probably cost around $10? The tax was $16 for me

Ahhh.
I was thinking the tax was a lot more than $16 as i hear a lot of CA residents grumbling about it.
I thought it must have been like $30 or so.
How about this? If you have a friend or relative out of CA to register an account, and you always order through *their* account, but have their account set up that the items get shipped to you....
Would that get around it? As the *person who bought it* isn't a CA resident?
Just a thought.

Jor-el arrived Wed.,and we are quite happy with him. My wife's only complaint is that there are apparently some unfinished seams on his robe(I haven't noticed them).Another home run for HT...PS
