I got the dreaded card declined for possible fraud email from sideshow this morning. Gotta call at lunch to get it straightened out. Card is good, but has my Mother's name on it even though the billing address and last name is the same they declined it. Mom was just trying to help me out for the holidays....

I could never ask my mom for something like that.

thats sucks, though you cant get too mad thet theyre protecting peoples cards ...

My mom just gave me some cash towards this for my Christmas present

Let me clarify, she is helping with part of the payment as I still live at home while paying for tuition and don't get paid for another week and didn't want to miss out on Midas.

Well congrats to those that got him, I'm a Transformer collector as well and any Gold Transformer from back in the 80s is really hard to find, mostly because they used Vac-metal process so they are all flaking and crumbling now, but that's another story. Even the newer Transformers that are Gold are normally special "Lucky Draw" editions which are super expensive. It will be cool to play with a Gold toy that can be handled and posed.

I was chasing one when I was into Transformers. Those are 'real' limited pieces, I'd say.

In fact, I saw a news report that Sideshow was at shopping mall with a bag full of Angelicas and just threw them all into a crowd.

Yeah. I was thinking of making another circular riser like i did for Tony, so i can have the Midas on display with the MKV, MKVI, MKVII and WM around it.

As strange as it seems, we worked this out in the 191 tony stark thread a few months back by comparing order numbers and dates. They process and ship the LAST order first it would seem and work backwards from there.
It's no big deal. I haven't had notice either but I got my order in. So I am not worried.

I don't think so. People having order numbers lower down the range are getting their shipping notices.

Another thing to remember is that they will likely only have a small team labelling the Midas, and Sideshow have a LOT of stock.
I sometimes imagine their stock warehouse being a bit like this:

Anyhow, I ordered a few mins after the link went up. My co-worker ordered immediately right after me (2 mins max). We both live in the same city an hour away from Sideshow.

He got his shipping notice/email last night and will receive his today. I have yet to receive any email. So yeah, not sure how the order of shipping is determined with this one. But just glad I was able to get one.

They probably have a few servers, so it isn't time dependent. And they are also processing other buys all the time. I don't have an order email yet - just processing on the site.

haha, I could use some socks...my work ones always seem to disappear. The last few years I've gotten to the point where I'm able to purchase my own things and don't honestly want much, but I could get behind a nice pack of socks for the holidays lol
