Blue and grey is my favorite look for Batman in the comics. This is a really nice looking figure. Will probably wait to use coupon on him, but I'm definitely going to try to pick this one up. I love the short ear head.

I think they did a great job. I made a crack about the angry face earlier, but, for the most part, I agree that it's the best comic Batman we've seen. I do agree about the body, though; it's not very consistent. That space between his rib cage and his abdomen seems really exaggerated, and there are some pics, like the EX. one with Supes, where it looks like a Neal Adams Batman with Frank Miller Bats' arms and legs. I also preferred the neck piece from the proto.

However, with all that being said, if people really want things improved, they need to speak up. SSC has a very prominent twitter and Facebook presence. They would no doubt listen to constructive criticism (as evidenced by previous products where they released updated pics at a later date), but they aren't mind readers. End of the day, I see some issues with the figure, but SSC would probably fix things more often than HT would.:lol

The legs look a bit short.

I really don't like the body. The chest is too muscular, the legs a little short.

And i would have preferred the black and grey like a lot of people.

But i still preordered it. Who knows when we'll get another version so this will have to do for now.

His legs look a little too short and the belt is way too thick with those big pouches. It should fit snug around his waist. The face looks good and dang I wish the LSB had this face. The cloth neck is a real drag and they should have made the entire cowl plastic. The cape looks real boss and his tights with bat emblem are well done. The boots look a bit odd. There's just enough wrong with it and expensive enough for something else to wow me and redirect my money toward that item....like the Queen of the Dead PF.

I like what I see.
The one problem I have is Batman's ears bending outwards, they look like horns.
Batman's ears should go straight up as a continuation of the head and neck.
Thankfully a short ears version is included.
I also agree with those who wish the neck had remained solid.
Still, overall a really cool looking figure, I preordered it.
I can't wait to see Superman and more pictures of this one.

I'm not that into the sculpts either, but this pic makes one of them look alright.

They're the original colors.

This figure looks great. Best one they've shown thus far. The torso looks a little wrong, but I bet you can push it forward and solve the problem. I have yet to see a Batman custom I like more than this.

I don't understand peoples' obsession with the black and gray suit.

:lecture:goodpost:

I personally am glad to see a blue/gray Batman. Changes things up a bit and will look fantastic on the shelf. I think SS did an amazing job with the body (looks better than the HT's 60's body on their Batman after being covered with a cloth suit to me - I have PO'd both).

While, you're correct about it being the original colors, They were not those colors for very long, and I HIGHLY DOUBT anyone in here is nostolgic for that "original design"

He "originaly wore" black and Gray for less than a year

And to be completely fair, he wasn't even REALLY batman at that point.

But I digress. My PErsonal Preference is either what we're getting ( which is BASICLY silver age batman)

or Gray suit, and Midnight Blue, or Navy Blue, as those would make more sense than Solid black.

I also like that Sideshow drew from multiple comic versions of Batman to bring this figure to us.

Further, I have zero problem with the mannequin. I have seen real humans with much worse proportions than this figure has.

The black and grey just seems to make more sense as something Batman would wear if he was stalking around in the night trying to strike fear into criminals. Powder blue... not so much. Although, this is really a Jim Lee Hush version without the Jim Lee sculpted head. The body and everything else matches.

Seems to me since its just flat black some people are looking for itd be fairly easy to paint and dye this guy into the black/grey version if that's the preference. Its not like your trying to color match a specific shade, just get it all as black as can be.

:goodpost: I think its a great looking figure, I like the blue and gray, should pop nicely on display, I would be fine with a black a gray version as well but this is a nice classic look. The body looks fine, I will not be swapping the body for another but if someone wanted to that's cool, a kp02 or kpo3 would look good or even the ttm20 would look nice if so inclined.

This looks better than I expected it to. Not sure I need another Batman as I already have The Dark Knight Rises version and the Adam West Batman is on order and I'll get a Keaton Batman when the Batman Returns version is announced.
