this one really shows the likeness I think

I've seen some pics where I thought the likeness looked pretty good, but to me, this isn't really one of those pics. Even if we don't agree on this, I think we might agree that the head sculpt is actually not too bad

The HS is fine. It's just not as great as the proto, but still fine.

Figure turned out well, especially the suit and body.

I dunno i see Garfield. Ask yourself this. If you've never seen the proto, and then suddenly saw this final product what would you say? I bet most would say hey that looks real good. (of course you will always have your scoffers)

I'd say the final lost only about 5-10% of the proto.

I don't even really care about the HS anyways, same with Tobey black SM. But it's nice to have.

If the HS is the only minor complaint i have on the whole figure i'll take that anyday. (anyone remember Wolverine origins fig?)

I wasn't actually overly impressed with the proto head sculpt either. Didn't bother me that much then, & it doesn't bother me that much now. I want Spidey, & the HT does that pretty well.

I like the more action poses, but I think mine will be in a neutral pose, since I don't think I'm doubling up on this guy right away. If I get 2, then I can go pose crazy on one

Watched SM3 again tonight, I know it's not much of a fan favorite, but we love it.

As a side note, the scene where Peter takes Gwen to the bar to piss off MJ.....the guy who plays the bouncer is the same actor who plays "Ponytail Express" in Iron Man 3.

yeah I've posted that a page back i think, it is perfect for me since I want one with no scratches for my custom PP and another for Spider-man so I can have both clean and scratches on his head

Despite all of this figures shortcomings (and the movie's) Ive decided to go ahead and get him. I blame my love of all things Spiderman. Might not be the best looking outfit but its Spiderman and ultimately Id like to own all Hot Toys Spidermenses...es. I imagine they will all look neat together in the end. Besides I need a large crew to rival my growing Ironnman army.

If you had to choose between this and the Iron Man Mark 1, what would you choose?

I'm stuck as to what to do. I haven't got a Spidey figure and I love the character, I'm questioning why I even have the Mark 1

I think i intended to collect the run of Iron Man suits, but since I abandoned that plan and got rid of Mark 2 and 3, this seems a bit redundant

it sure is pretty though

aagh! the easy answer would be to have both, but since getting the new house i made a rule that i'd only by a figure if i sold one in it's place to save money

I think that COF's link is the Headplay version. I've had a few heads from Headplay and they have always been an easy company to buy from.
