Hi guys. Well I received my second one from BBTS yesterday to the UK. Unfortunatley won't be able to open until the weekend due to work. I noticed this time that they placed 'Glass - handle with care' all over the box! Hope it's done the trick!

Best of luck Michael, hope it works out! Dont forget to add pics!

Well I just checked the delivery status and it appears to have arrived. That sucker arrived in less than a day by plane, very impressed. :horror

I'm at work right now and told my family to keep a look at this morning by 10:30. They know what's up with the damages and supposedly kept a look out, but I guess the UPS guy came by without knocking or ringing the bell and left it on the porch on it's side horizontally despite those damn warning symbols on the box.:slap

I guess I'll see what's in store for me later today. If the third time isn't a charm and shipping out in less than 18 hours by Air doesn't help, I'm not sure what else there is to do.

Hope its 3rd time lucky for you DiFabio, if not then maybe it'll be the fourth or fifth time lucky! Dont give up until you have a mint one! I've got my first replacement arriving this week and i'm remaining positive. Remember, your paying alot of money for a high end collectible, the least it can be is unmarked!

Honestly, I would never try ordering 4 or 5 of these trying to get a good one. I'd either live with the small flaws or just send it back and be done with it as that's way too much time and effort invested in what essentially amounts to a big plastic toy. Yes, it's an awesome toy and I absolutely love mine, but even if you do get a perfect one what happens if you accidentally bump into it or something falls on it? Then it's still got a blemish and you've gone through all that work for nothing. I've learned from having expensive sports cars and collectibles that nothing stays perfect forever and you just have to enjoy the things for what they are and not obsess over every little flaw as it will drive you insane.

Great post brent72. I've had a 06 Lancer EvoIX before that costs me $32k plus thousands in modifications I did on my own. Ive learned to live and let pass the scracthes or dents because they happen when enjoying the vehicle.

Theres other guys who posted pics with the Batmobile touching the concrete, bed sheets, dusty shelfs and posing figures on top and inside. My Batmobile is still in box and will remain there until I finish my Granas display case soon. I want it to remain in a dust free place and make sure no one touches it with dirty hands.

I agree with you Brent.* I think if I end up ordering this I would be one and done.* Either it’s perfect or has flaws I can live with or it’s damaged in a way I can’t accept and I send it back, take my refund and move on.*

Don’t get me wrong I agree that for the price the buyer deserves a perfect one but I think we are starting to see that’s less and less likely to happen.* Full credit to those who are such big fans that they are determined to get a good one but I just couldn’t be bothered to send something like this back multiple times.*

I have a few items with flaws that I know others would lose their minds about as I have seen it happen on these forums.* I think I may order this next month when I have more cash and take the risk.* If the flaws are minor I’ll probably just deal with it.

Agreed with these last few posts. Mine will have to be pretty severe to make me want to go to the hassle of sending it back. I too had the thought that its bound to get scratched in my possession at some point. Accidents happen though we do our best to avoid them.

Yup, three is where I draw the line. Even that feels ridiculous. It's not so much the financial aspect but the toll it's taking on my mind. Keeping track of what cost what and packing them up for returns is more headache than it's worth.

If this one is scratched, I'm just picking the best one and calling it a day.

Talking about accidents happening, a few years ago I bought the Sideshow Boba Fett Premium Format statue. About 15 minutes after I had unboxed it I was moving it around and somehow the jetpack came loose and fell causing the rocket to completely break off. I'd only had the thing for 15 minutes and it was already damaged.....I was absolutely sick! I knew right then and there that no matter how much we want to keep these things "perfect" sometimes accidents just happen and there's nothing you can do about it. Luckily, I had some high powered epoxy and was able to perfectly glue the rocket back in place. Now, several years later, I'm the only one who would ever know it broke off, but it's just a reminder that these unfortunate incidents do occur and they're completely unavoidable. ;)

Not that one ought to be begrudging of other collectors as its not their fault but I bet its casual impulse buyers who are getting flawless ones while you, who are seriously into Burton Batman, will probably end up having gone through 3 scratched ones. :slap

My version of this story happened to my 1/12 Ferrari Enzo by Tamiya...the roof fell off when I unboxed it and while trying to glue it back, the glue left a mark on the roof...I was mad...then I accidentally almost broke off a wheel...*sigh*...it happens.

I am extremely pleased to report my Batmobile from WB Shop arrived and it is PERFECT!!!! Third time's the charm! Woo-hoo!!!!

Does WB Shop ship without signature required? I work 10 minutes from home and would like to just run home tomorrow when it's delivered instead of sitting around waiting.

That is ironic but I can't really look at it that way. I never thought of it being the case.

I'd assume anyone that throws down $700 on this piece is more than a casual fan. Who knows though. I've tried not to think, "oh I love this thing, why is this happening, woe is me". :lol

Really, really glad to hear.

This gives me hope since we were pretty much in the same boat and both ordered a third one from WB with next day shipping.

I just hope it didn't hurt having it on it's side horizontally on the porch or what ever she told me. I mean as long as it wasn't upside down on the wrong side down or vertical I don't see how it could hurt.
