I finally got around to opening my Mark VII from BBTS and after the initial shock seeing just how large and awesome it is, my attention quickly turned to the quality of this figure. My figure has quite a few areas where the paint has fish-eyed and there are countless small bubbles throughout the paint along with a big scratch on the helmet face. There are also two quite obvious hairs caught in the paint.

I called BBTS on Friday and asked about getting a replacement but I was told the figure is completely sold out everywhere and that they have no reserves for returns. Ironic since BBTS's return policy is why I preordered there in the first place.

LMAO...where do you find this stuff....haha

Just scored another Mark7 for 300 shipped USPS priority from Comic Oasis. I already have one coming from BBTS on Wednesday, but with this figures demand and being sold out everywhere, I figured I wouldn't pass a chance at an extra one for 50 bucks over retail with shipping.

I think they have 2 left. Be quick or miss the boat.:panic:

I will not be keeping both, because one is enough for me. I will probably use the other for trade bate or sell for cash for another figure down the line.

All sites had this figure at retail price last year.

Now that the figure is out, do you guys really think they will still be available at retail price?

if they're from a retailer...yes. what if sideshow raised their prices according to market value? would you appreciate if they were selling the MVII for $329.99 instead of offering it to people on the waitlist for $249.99?

Hot Toys needs to start cracking the whip on their child labor factory. Damn kids getting hair on the Iron Man figures paint.:lol

But in all seriousness, that really sucks. I will be pissed if mine is ****ed up when I get it from BBTS. Kind of another reason I ordered a second one from another retailer, so I could hopefully make sure I get a good one. I will just return one if it's got screwed up paint or defects.
if they both are good, then I will use the second for trade or another figure later.

I don't see why they didn't offer a credit and or exchange, since they just listed more for sale at 329.00. They obviously had more when they told you they were sold out. They didnt just magically find more.

You should link them to the new stock they have or better yet take a screenshot in case it sells out by the time they reply. No reason for them to not be able to replace it or at least offer something better than to deal with it.

I really think that the Hot Toys Iron Man Effect is getting to even the best E-trailers like BBTS. These damn things have become the plastic equivalent of gold. As soon as a new one hits the market the prices go up as fast as my pecker at a all woman's yoga class.:yess:

Wow! How were you able to contact them? I can't find a number on their site to call. Even email doesn't work. I do a majority of my purchases through them and it is a shame their customer service is severely lacking. I have spent so much money at their store and to not get any response from them really gets me angry.

Your link is bringing up Batman - not the Mark VII
