Still have Castaspella for anyone in the USA who wants her cheaper than matty $30 shipped

Scott stated on AFI that all 2014 MOTU Classics Development has been put on hault/hold because they don't know if the 2014 Subs are definitely going through, which means the April/May figure will be delayed and put into the month after (if the subs go through)

So He basically said EVERYTHING is on hold, they have stopped sculpting the figures and are waiting to see if subs go through officially for all the lines- MOTU,DC, etc...

so if the sub doesn't go through, what is shown at SDCC will be it.

I wouldn't even trust that 100%.

the reason I trust that is because they are tooled and have been developed...they are not paying the Horseman just to sculpt figures for fun

Scott stated it twice now that we'll see them as day of sale quarterly releases

He DID say they will try to get tehm out.. but they wouldn''t be the first toys that got tooled by a major company, and were never released.

Even still, I think that WORST case scenario is they become SDCC exclusives for the next few years.

I'm going to be so pissed if they don't go through. Two Bad has been my most wanted figure since the lines inception. It would be just my luck that they finally announce him and he never gets produced. I really wish they didn't put out so many side characters since there a quite a few vintage figures that still haven't come out. Two Bad, Sssqueeze, Tung Lashor, Ninjor, Rio Blast, Dragstor, Extendar and Blast Attak are all essentials for a complete collection.

here is the statement plea for the Sub

"If the meter is not hit, what will likely happen is the 4 figures that are already tool'd (the ones revealed at SDCC) will be released quarterly and perhapes an item at SDCC. After that, that will be it. End of story"

The Goatman would be 2014 SDCC exclusive

Oh dear, so what this basically means is that this line could possibly end without a single faction being completed?:slap

Hmm, you're right! Funny that I never say a comparison between the two until just now. Guess I should have picked these up... They only made Lion-o and Tigra, though, right?

I guess one could make the case that either could work, since they're not human, but the size of the head makes all the difference in the 8" version. Still would be nice to have them the same size as MOTUC (and sculpted by the 4H!), though.

Man if Matty got the Thundercats line it would last more than a year and the figs would look *****en! Here's hoping someday

I don't see why Matty can't make a go for Thundercats now. Bandai is surely going to let the license lapse, I would think they would even be up for selling it after the mess they made with it. Who knows. I always thought Mattel would be the best company to make Thundercats figures. MOTUC is the perfect style for Thundercats, it's almost uncanny how much the MOTUC base body seems made for Thundercats.

As far as the sub, I really don't see why it wouldn't go forward. I think it's just like last year, the last big push will come and it will go over 100%. I can't believe Mattel would put a hold on production, but I guess Mattel has less faith than others do in the line. No surprise I guess.

1982-1985 would be complete

I didn't really view the 1982-85 as an actual faction though.
I see faction in terms of Evil Warriors, Snake Men, Horde,
Rebellion etc. If this were to end prematurely then the original
12 back would be the only thing complete.

I've really enjoyed MOTUC and it has pride of place in my display cabinets. Dont think they'd suit thundercats though, except maybe Lion-O. Panthro was muscly but shorter, Tygra was the right height but leaner, etc. Although I love the Thundercats minimates, and they're all exactly the same buck, so I'd probably still buy Mattel Thundercats.

If the subscription didn't go through and we just got 4 quarterly releases the only figure I'd be really gutted about missing is NA Skeletor. Dont really care for the NA cartoon but the 4 figures I have on display at the minute would probably end up in storage if I couldn't add Skeletor.

I think Thundercats and He-Man design really relate to each other. Boots, bare legs, lion clothe/unitard, etc. Thundercats would need a different size body, not so bulky really, but overall I think aesthetically the MOTUC body is the right design and engineering. I think Mattel would be hesitant with Thundercats though, think of all of the new tooling it would technically require outside of Lion-O, Panthro, and Cheetara. I love the Thundercats minimates as well, I have them all so far. It's the only new and extensive Thundercats line to collect. Getting OT though.. sorry, lol.

I would be bummed if NA Skeletor didn't get made as well. I'm not really a huge fan of the NA cartoon or story overall, but I love the designs. Especially the Space Mutants.

:goodpost: Totally agree about the mutants, and I'm glad that my two favourite designs were done first (Optikk and Kalimaar) Didn't bother picking up Karatii though. I think we're supposed to get Brakk too, but he probably wont be till 2015 as Hydron and NA Skeletor are coming this year.

My biggest overall wants are coming early in the 2014 sub though, Two-Bad and Modulok :yess: I've subscribed for the first time due to the SDCC reveals and the quarterly shipping option (I'm UK based)
