I wouldn't count on it bein in a future set. Green Lantern wasn't neither was Bizarro, Black Spider-Man, or Shazam

True but I don't have $1,000 to send on lego figures so if he is only released as an SDCC Exclusive I will be out of luck. :monkey2

BUT they had to make some new molds from him so I would think he has to be included in some set to make back what they spent on the molds.

Is the SDCC Bilbo from last year the same one that comes with Bag End (minus the bag/map)?

Yes, it was the same figure.

As for Azog, the word I've been hearing in the LEGO community that Azog WILL be released later but will be cast in more of a white color next time The SDCC piece was more of a tan color.

A gift from an awesome buddy of mine, this was a blast to build. Built the whole thing today with the exception of bag one, which I put together last night. Super fun and addicting build.

It's crazy impressive in person. The detail is really amazing too, as are most Middle Earth sets, but there's just so damn much with Orthanc!! The outside has so much texture and creative part usage while the interior has neat details everywhere.

My son fell asleep before I could finish but he was just dying to play with it... Looks like we'll be having a Lego LOTR battle after work tomorrow. :)

Finally found Helm's Deep at a price that I could rationalize paying for ($120 Canadian on clearance at Wal-Mart).

Neil, did you pick up the add on set for HD?

I had two already bought awhile ago (just waiting for the right price for HD). Now I've got to find a place to display this sucker.

My AOME HD is away in storage-- I don't want to put this one there too.

Well, I wasn't going to-- but the Wal-Mart across the border had most of their Lego up on clearance so I picked up The Goblin King Battle and Attack of the Wargs so I guess I'm going to have Bilbo's house filled with dwarves after all.

An Unexpected Gathering grows larger with each purchase...

Hard to find an area big enough to display Helm's Deep so it's unfortunately on the floor for now.

I didn't think I'd like the Goblin King set but it's got some fun features.

For Gandalf it's go time.
