Thanks for the concern guys.. & yeah - I'm pacing myself responsibly. :wink1:

I guess it's hard to really know who you're talking to on here sometimes - but as much as I love to joke around & use these -> :)monkey2) when things look hectic.. as a person approaching 40 - my priorities are pretty clear.

I can go without these figures if I have to - or source them later. Life goes on. :)

I am right there with you - i spent way more than what i shld have this year. I had skipped a lot of figures before though - which i caught up with this year. I know they spike in price but its better to pay 30 pct or even more when you have some buffer than to keep buying without any rational. I see a lot of people buy cause of sheer pressure. Sometimes forums are a marketing / sales channel and a big part of the social media marketing agenda (rightfully so) cause imagine if there are 4-5 posts on ... wow, great fig, awesome, i am buying, i am pre prdering etc... it creates so much peer pressure. I usually buy things that do not have a nrd. I am still regretting that vader preorder that i made tho... :)

Yeah, I know what you mean - some folks are like a snake under the charmers pipe. :lol

I don't care about forum hype. If I can afford it - & of course want it in the first place.. I'll definitely get it. The thing I'd rather avoid though, is chasing something down that was fairly popular in it's initial run (like I'm sure DX13 will be), & having to cop the obscene after market prices.

That's why I always try to nab something while it's in stock with my preferred E-tailers. If it's a figure I'm fairly confident will be around for some time to come.. I'll wait for a sale. :)

I avoid eBay as a rule for the high end figures, I just use it for cheaper random items.

I originally though that this piece was going to just re-use the DX10 head but the more I look at it the more I think it's an entirely new headsculpt with arguably the best likeness to Arnie yet from hot toys

Unfortunately I think it is the same sculpt. Besides the obvious battle damage, the eyes are the only noticeable difference that I can tell. They look slightly more "squinty" on the DX13.

I've explained why it's the same sculpt more than a few times so I won't go into detail again. But, yeah, at least in terms of this here proto, it's the same sculpt used to produce the DX10.

Wrong !

This was by far HT's best Arnie likeness.
