I am so super excited for the Alien 3 Mercs!!!:panic::panic:

I have always liked their unique look. I kinda though in the back of my head NECA might do them as there is no issues with likeness rights to make them.

Great news!

You're talking about the guys that show up in the end with pulse rifles and the heavily padded uniform or whatever it is to bring back Ripley, right? If so, those guys would be cool. Kinda like the snowtroopers of Colonial Marines - lol.

Weland Yutani mercs were on Twitter they reckon series 4 or 5.
:slap That's an easy pass.

@NECA_TOYS being that NECA plans on a "tribute" line of Aliens, which was your, Randy, favorite Kenner Alien? Will it be the first in line?

REPLY : maybe Bull or Gorilla? Not sure yet.

I would be over the moon with an updated Bull Alien I loved that thing!
Those would rock.

Did the actor himself turn down the likeness rights or was it Fox's doing? I doubt it would be the latter since Paxton was approved.

Wait a second, doesn't that mean that if Vasquez is cool with it NECA would in theory be able to make her a figure? Apone's fantastic but I always pictured Hicks, Hudson, and Vas in my top three.
Vasquez while definitely in my top 3, is almost an entirely new body sculpt. I'm sure that alone puts her on the back burner for NECA.

I'll buy ALIEN3 Mercs. I don't have enough humans in my collection. Hoping this line drastically changes that!

Disappointed to hear they are so quickly moving away from Aliens and onto that $#it sucking sequel.

I really don't like the way articulation looks on the upper bicep of the marines (especially when its barren). I think NECA could have designed that articulation a bit more subtly. On a positive note, the marines do look pretty cool otherwise but I'm going to wait for the helmeted versions instead. The alien in series 1 is absolutely awesome, the only issue with it is that the feet pop off really easy and some joints are a bit loose so its hard to get him to stand up sometimes. Other than that, he looks great!

Does anyone have a picture of these Alien 3 mercs? I'm drawing a complete blank here. Even an internet search didn't help.

Try googling them as "Weyland-Yutani Commandos". I think you will find more info.

Here is a Wey-Yu "Team photo" with 3 "commandos"

And a production shot

And the helmet

I'll be buying one for sure. The only thing I have against them is they are not more marines

(A disappointment I feel from them as both a NECA figure, and a grudge I still carry from back when I first saw Alien 3!:lol).

HEY!!! ...What the heck?! I just realized the helmeted 2-pack Hudson doesnt even have his helmet cover. No 8-ball or "short timer" calender count down graffiti. That on top of all the extra rivets on the front plate and missing ridges on the back lobster plates...
Looks like he does have his helmet-cover, actually. It's just in the same camouflage pattern as the body armour for some reason.

I know you think you're being insightful, but you're not, you're just ignoring a few minor facts that explain all that.
You're just being a sore loser. :p

If you remember, most of the successful attacks from facehuggers occur when people are taken by surprise, Ripley was always alert of the facehuggers.
And was only just barely able to keep it from choking her unconscious before the Marines arrived to save her and Newt.

Also, how do you know it was a facehugger? It's never mentioned in the movie, the facehugger is a species that only showed up until Alien 1, chronologically, we see in prometheus how the trilobite attacked a Space Jokey, for all we know, whatever facehugged the first Space jockey could be bigger than a traditional facehugger.
It's pretty clearly implied in the movie. ;)

And citing the "trilobite" is just silly. That thing wouldn't be conceived of for another 30 years or more. :rotfl

What a great argument. Oh wait, it's just what I said reciprocated. :lol
Exactly. ;)

If you can't figure out the significance of that, well...

You must be joking. You loved that ****ty Aliens game so much that you're willing to bash the entire Alien film franchise in it's defense?
Oh, I loved it alright, but it's hardly "bashing" to point out that the movies have their share of silly, plot-convenient and/or occasionally-illogical elements. :wave

Weland Yutani mercs were on Twitter they reckon series 4 or 5.
Huh. Those would be kind of cool, I guess. More human characters are always welcome.

Somebody asked about the tribute line…

I'd love to see Kenner-style Hicks and Hudson repaints. :D

You're just being a sore loser. :p

Why are you so defensive and claiming victory already? Are you getting nervous? :lol

And was only just barely able to keep it from choking her unconscious before the Marines arrived to save her and Newt.

So it was not a successful attack was it? Thanks for admitting my point ;)

Oh is it? So clearly implied that they "retconned" it and created the trilobite 30 years later.... mhm ok :lol

It's sillier to imply that you know it was a facehugger...

Even if it turned out that it was a facehugger, is there no possibility that the space jockey was caught by off guard? Without a chance to struggle?

But have fun claiming victory with such feeble arguments :lol

It's seriously contradictory to defend the POS that is A:CM (which well earned a few lawsuits to Randy Pitchford for how bad it was :lol) for then to try (and fail) to bash the masterpiece that inspired it. :lol

Head sculpt. Looks. Terrible. Helmets look generic and not character specific too. Not too interested in these until I see them in person.

I've just realised that's Hudson, not Hicks. Why are we seeing package shots of Hudson when its Hicks whose coming out first?

I think it looks alright. Its supposed to be the 'Die Mother******!' face and that's what it looks like.

Still, I'd prefer these done in translucent plastic like Dutch.
