Hmmm.. actually, although its not a figure I would buy, I think its a pretty good shot at reproducing the special effect on a figure -

It's mostly Blue.
Like Celtic said, where is the blue?
Or the Orange? or white?
the green parts on the figure should have been blue. and there should have been a lot of yellow and orange, not so much red.
This Could have been a great figure. It might be a good figure to customize actually.
But that paintjob is ridiculous

I think I actually dig this one, surprisingly. When I should dislike it for how over the top it is.

On some more positive news. I am definitely getting this. This looks much better than Mud Covered Dutch
If the entire diorama is available i’ll buy it.
Looks like a closed mouth Predator again. Hopefully better painted than the last one in this scale.

Exactly. It almost feels like NECA is hoping these new series don't sell well to cancel the predator line or something

No idea. It might be, but not from any I recognize. Might be a Kenner figure, but if so I have no idea which one. Doesn't help that they didn't include a nametag with it.
It almost looks like it's meant to be a fully armored take on that one Lost Predator though.
Decepticon Predator?
If they even just took what is currently green plastic and made it a blue plastic, I think it would be a thousand times better.
EDIT: If they ditch the green, it wouldn't give a "glowing" look though, which is probably why they chose it in the first place

Well, I'm definitely in the minority here but I love that version of Dutch. I think it looks fantastic and love the way it's cast in translucent plastic then painted. Definite purchase.
Although, a cool addition, I'm disappointed NECA didn't show anything that knocked my socks off. No big reveals or new licenses. Still, it's only preview night. Hopefully some surprises later on this weekend.

They could have left the translucent green in. Make the figure of that material.
but they could have just painted part of the figure blue.
that's what they needed to do. The Predator vision saw a lot of things in BLUE
It was never red and green like that, Ever......
I don't understand why there is not one inch of blue in the figure. It is almost like they did the paintjob without looking at the movie at all.

final battle dutch is cool and the closed mouth head on the jungle hunter but via the large amount of blood all over chest area and face its based on when he was crushed via the log.. kinda weird choice there i think. expected closed mouth but not all the blood in final battle pack etc.

This TRU two pack looks awesome. I've been waiting for a re-release of the jungle hunter with its mouth close. I'm just not looking forward to going to TRU and not finding him since I have a guy that buys all the predator figures and most of the time I have to wait for the second shipment. Hopefully TRU does site-to-store again. I used this for the cloaked jungle classic predator and I never say that option again.
