Forget "where am I going to display this" the problem is "where am I going to store the box?"

Can't wait for someone to mod the headlights to make them more yellow like they are in the movie.

I just noticed that in the sequence where the Penguin hijacks the batmobile the interior appears to have two monitors. At one point the he is watching the Penguin heckle him on the black and white screen and then he hears a beep, turns his head to the right, and we see the monitor showing the car schematic and "Foreign Object Detected." Does the HT car have both screens or is that an assumed upgrade from the car's appearance in 1989?

No, the Penguin, and the schematic (as well as the earlier video call with Alfred), all happen on the same single screen.

The Returns car interior might be different than the Batman one. Pic of actual screen used car from Returns.

Also, some facts about the Batmobile from here:
https://www.scpr.org/blogs/newmedia/2012/11/29/11321/40-things-you-never-knew-about-batmobile/

-One of the Batmobiles used in the films was bought by comedian Jeff Dunham
-Dunham’s version is street legal, including a license plate that drops down when the car starts
-He also added a video screen that actually works, but instead of computer data, this screen has video from rearview and side cameras since the car doesn’t have any mirrors
-Dunham takes it out, including getting gas at public gas stations
-Because this Batmobile was hand sculpted, the fins on the back are slightly off from each other, with one more curved and one straighter
-When you get the vehicle up to 90 miles per hour, the back wobbles, which creators attribute to the difference in the back fins
-The Batmobile was scanned to make the toys, so the toys also feature asymmetrical fins
-The black paint has a hint of green in it because Tim Burton wanted the vehicle to seem alive, even though the sheen isn’t very visible in the film
-This Batmobile can go 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds
-Production designer Anton Furst’s design was inspired by Salt Flat racing vehicles and Stingray cars from the 1950s

Maybe that is the actual screen used car, but that is definitely NOT the the actual screen used dashboard. This can easily be verified by comparing at the design of all the gauges etc.

If that is really a Returns car the dash was heavily modified after filming.

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

Hi Guys

I'm in the UK and ordered from BBTS. Dreading the customs charge on this as it was £80 for the DX Joker 2.0!!

I'm not liking the sound of it just being sent in the Hot Toys shipper. BBTS normally pack it out but I understand they can't on this. Hope my UPS guy handles it carfeully as I don't wnat lots of corner denst on the box!

Anyway does anyone know the dimensions of the shipping box? I'm not sure where I'm going to store the box!!

Thanks

Michael

Also does anyone know what the rod is for on the canopy? I'm sure it wasn't in the film? Any the canopy seems to open fine without it?

I don't understand why anyone in the UK would want to take the hit on import and shipping charges for this beast from the states? Plenty of stores here have it up for order...

Secured mine through OSB. Some collectibles you're better sticking to UK stores.
