For me personally, there is no better way to display this amazing car other than on a rotating display base! It just needs to be admired in 360!!!

Thanks, Geil. I don't think I want to build a platform on top, but you got me thinking; as an alternative to putting the car on top of the shelf (like I did in my mockup), I could also take out the three vertical divides in the upper most shelf (where the blu-rays are now) and put the car in there. It'd be more at eye level then instead of 6' up in the air where you could only ever see the side.

very good idea indeed!! oh you could even use those freed up panels to extend your shelf depth a little

okay okay! Well the plan is to create an identical style Batcave diorama as I used for the DX09 and then create some kind of platform so that Keaton is placed way above the Batmobile...at least that's the idea. Whether or not it will work is another story!

so it's going to be 50" x 50" x 30" I needs to see it !!! Will you have it ready before your Batmobile arrives? I guess you have to top that T-800 display somehow!!

Got to get started on it soon cos Sideshow will be shipping it next week! Will be harder to make without the actual car but hey ho. May get started on it at the weekend....it's all trial and error at the end of the day....so I'm hoping its easy to achieve!

I'm so happy about the in hand pics. So much improvement over the prototipe. It's a perfect representation of the 89 batmobile, I can't whait to have this...
and maybe I need a better class of display for it.

Ahh Ikea Expedite!! Well I did the following with mine to extend the width for a future setup for some Star Wars stuff and it will work for you just as well with this cheap solution from again Ikea

Soo nobody likes my cabinet eh? It might fit the Batmobile perfect, It's an Ikea something, but rather than finding it in the bookcase I went to the dining room section...

I feel that the Toynami is a bit more accurate as in less harsh edges/corner thus smoother and curvier like the real thing. However it is not 1/6 and from the few reviews I have seen the flat surfaces seem slightly bumpy. 1/6 HT all the way for moi

I agree with Geil, the Toynami is sleeker and smoother looking, sexy in appearance.

But the size of the HT obliterates all that away.

The Toynami is smoother and appears sleaker because of that and its high gloss finish. But it is not more accurate, since it is based on the mold from a flawed model. Some of those extra curves that make it appear curvier than the Hot Toys model--like the extreme curve of canopy shape and the "claw" around the front turbine-- are "made-up" curves on the Toynami and the flawed model it's based on. So yes, it is curvier than the HT in these areas, but it is also curvier than the real car.

No it's Ikea Expedite open shelf system. It's 15" deep only and I plan on putting some Star Wars dio on that require more depth so I added some Ikea el Cheapo Lax coffee table top ($12 a piece and I needed three), just check the link I included to take you to that thread withthe details. so for roughly $30 more I have an original working space of 15" x 58" and increased it to "21" x 58" .... hmm why is it 68"? I thought the table was a square

I got my final notice today, and then I called them to push it back till july 31. I was almost crying on the phone to the very nice lady at SS. My last flex and shipping is $200. i didn't budget for that much. And with a new baby, I would be killed. So $100 from this paycheck and the final $100 on the 31st, and this girl is mine first week of August.

Getting it but from BBTS due to it being $120 cheaper all around. So I'll be getting it hopefully a couple weeks after you SS buyers.
