Got a response from them. The numbering is correct but its missing the exclusive. As of now there response is either deal with it or return it. Pretty much sideshow can give two ****s about the mistake. I emailed them back. I know people dont like to say bad thing about sideshows customer service, but they dont even offer a credit now.

I'm not surprised by this at all, and honestly you're complaining about something that will never see the light of day. Noobdy's going to lift up your statue to see what's underneath your base. If I were them I'd tell all the complainers about the extra lettering to shove it too, it's bad enough they paid extra paint ink just to print it.

Congrats on getting this. This, IMO, along with the Dark Rider of Mordor are the best PFs of the year so far in terms of quality.
This one is just perfect.

Sideshows response about the missing exclusive writing.

"Thank you for taking the time to contact Sideshow’s Customer Service department.

I do apologize for the inconvenience; unfortunately, the entire Exclusive production of this piece are all the same and do not have the word Exclusive Edition written on the bottom of the base. If you would like to return the piece, you may contact the returns department for further assistance on returning, you may reach them through [email protected].

Please do not hesitate in contacting me if you have any further questions.

Best Regards,

Customer Service Representative"

I am not going to return it, cause I still think it's awesome, but still Sideshow:pfft:

Wait so all regular pieces say 'exclusive' and all exclusive are the 'regular' versions? :D

We (the EX owners) should complain to Sideshow and get a partial refund or something, that's terrible QC!

I guess everyone has different opinions. Mine is if I pay a premium for a product then I expect the product to be great. I have not been around long, but I have seen numerous threads on sideshows customer service. This is my first sideshow piece from them and it came with a pretty big QC error. I am seeing first hand for myself customer service just does not care as long as they get their money. They would gladly take a return and fill in a waitlist rather then try to solve a problem or throw a credit towards the buyer who's statue has a mistake on it. I did not make this error, it was on their end. It does not matter if its under the base or not, sideshow should have to own up to their QC mistakes. If they keep getting free passes then at what point does it stop? I would have had rhino in my collection from a great fellow member. I had no problem with the weight, but I just could not get over the fact that I would pay for a new item that had crack and they would not replace it. Then to find out they were sending out generic emails and not even responding to some of the actual responses of the people. But I guess to each their own. That's the last ill speak on the matter of their customer service.

They sure as hell won't get a free pass from me if they screw up the sculpt, or paint job royally that crap will go back for a return, but for mislabeling the base I really could care less if the statue turns out perfect and better than the prototype. Yes you could email them to let them know they screwed up, but bottom line is don't expect them to do something about a base's label versus something that's visibly wrong with the statue itself.

Well honestly, it is still a mistake that to my knowledge was not communicated to those who ordered until it was in hand. That to me is a issue. At least take the time to contact the discerning collector(s) the problem before it ships. Many found out from an email to one supplier. For some sloppy paint is no big deal, for others it is something else to varying degrees. Not sure it would bother me because if it was a matter of either returning it or keeping something that I had to have I would just keep it. Just wish they were a bit more careful.

Just asked Sideshow for a discount on my next order

And here is the response from Sideshow which I kind of already knew. Well I tried:(

"Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a courtesy discount. If you are not satisfied with your piece, as mentioned previously you may contact our returns department for further information in regards to returning and getting a refund.

Please do not hesitate in contacting me if you have any further questions.

Although I like Sideshow very much their answers are a bit arrogant. Even though the mistake made hardly ever will be seen, some small kind of compensation for such a obvious mistake should be given considering how much money we pay for this and any other item. At least have the courtesy to contact customers and explain. But no way I'm returning this masterpiece, and sadly they know that we won't return it because of this..

Well, you know, those that could buy more SS stuff could get the stuff they HAVE to have and leave the rest behind. Gonna get in and get out so I don't have to keep playing the chance game.

This was the latest email from them. The first email said the base should have said Exclusive on it, the second says this.

Thank you for your email. I am very sorry and I do understand your concern. The more recent releases do not have exclusive stated on the base. The edition number is what is sets it apart.

The error in this case was made to the regular version of the piece and not all of those bases say exclusive. An email was sent to our customers that received the regular version.

Best regards,

My WL converted but I had to cancel. Have a wedding to pay for in July, just couldnt swing it.

Really hope to get this down the line. Absolutely gutted that I had to pass.

They offered to cancel my order if I am not happy. Not sure that is what I was going for. I just wanted a new sticker on the bottom.
