That face is amazing IMHO, although I certainly don't expect the Marvel figures to look like that, that one only looks like that cause it's faithful to Ash's personal work.

I won't. Dunno how Marvel agreed to give them the license. This is a company saying they were making Dredd since 2009.

Like I said on another board, I can see this style of figure suiting Luke Cage, Deadpool and Iron Fist.

Plus, someone mentioned something about not liking "cartoonish crap"... wtf man?we're talking about comic books here, some representations of the marvel characters if not most are the epitome of cartoonish.
The "realistic" ones from recent movies are in fact reimaginings, and very pale boring ones if you ask me.

Hot Toys figures are movie interpretations, not comic.
High quality representations of the comic versions of these characters in mixed media 1:6 scale don't exist. Medicom tried but failed miserably. The closest thing I've seen has been the Tony Meis suits and heads which if you want to make a Wolverine out of, you're at least looking at a $300 venture with no body and a unpainted head sculpt.
So Marvel fans hear there are new high quality affordable Marvel figures on the horizon, and they get excited; they then hear they'll be reimagined through the bizarre prism of Ashley Wood, and they get disappointed.
Personally, I'm looking forward to these, at the very least Ashley Wood's style is edgy, which might make these interesting enough to buy.

I don't buy Anime stuff as it's not my thing, that doesn't mean i don't respect what it is
To put it simply that's their own ignorance for thinking they'd be hot toys type figures rather than 3A.
ThreeA made the announcement so it's logical to assume they'd be similiar to what the company is known for making.... stylized figures.
If Enterbay made a announcement for comic figures i would'nt expect them to be stylised as they are known for realistic figures.
If people though this would be something else than what it obviously would be it's their mistake.

maybe they actually (gasp) think ThreeA is trash and thus not appreciating the notion of a marvel line in the same style and craftsmanship from the same company?

1. They suck. Its Crap.
2. They are the greatest thing since slided bread. Better than hot toys.
This helps a ton.
I'm sure the truth lies somewhere in between these 2 opinions. Additional, VALID, responses welcome.

Because I have absolutely no experience with them, A few pages ago I asked about the quality of 3A figures. As in worksmanship and production. NOT an opinion of their interpretations. I got 2 responses.
1. They suck. Its Crap.
2. They are the greatest thing since slided bread. Better than hot toys.
This helps a ton.

I got into them last year, they are different and unique, as for QC and so forth, only had two problems both of which were resolved with customer service.
They aren't the greatest things ever, but they are a welcome change from the dredge of accuracy and so on.
Best word i can describe them is... Fun

3A is different from typical 1/6 line and it is an acquired taste IMO. I get some feeling their cheap if they expect EB / HT level figures, it isn't their intent. The design, tailoring is simple not extravagant.
In terms of fun, I loved my 3A collection (sold to narrow focus). I liked the character designs i.e. Blind Cowboy, Nom's, Grunts, Bots etc.
I had "fun" with my 3A line unlike EB / HT who tend to have more of a museum quality. I was able to capture more dynamic poses which allow more creativity when displaying. I thought they looked great as a group on a shelf whereas higher end stuff tends to look better fewer to a shelf in generic poses.
Assuming I like the "style", I am interested in the line. I can think of many cool "battle" scenes to re-create on a shelf that I wouldn't be able to pull off with higher end collectibles.
My two cents....

Not ignorance but disappointment that someone is finally making high quality Marvel 1:6 figures and it's a stylized interpretation.
And I wouldn't pigeonhole 3A as mandatorily having the typical Ashley Wood style, they could always branch out and do something uncharacteristic.
