Slow month for WiiU games wise:

With the delay of Rayman Legends, today's release of Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage would be the Wii U's only retail game in February ... except it's exclusive to the eShop. So it's only kind of the only retail game this month.

Slow year really, there's only like 4 Wii U games that are worth getting this year

Yeah but it really hurts Nintendo to not get Rayman or Aliens out this month for their system. They are going to lose a lot of potential sales between those two titles especially with losing exclusivity to Rayman. Then having Aliens being delayed for a month or more while hitting all other systems first hurts when they have no other games coming out this month.

if Nintendo continues this path will die a slow death like sega did back in early 2000 with the Dreamcast. I only hope that the company has something behind the question mark like a 1 up.

The problem is they really needed to get some great games out this year before the next PS and Xbox come out, but it looks like the only really good sellers will be the Lego game, the Zelda remake and Monster Hunter. Currently Pikmin 3 has no release date, Rayman is now multiplatform, and Aliens will be out after all the other platforms.

Wish I would have waited to get one now, would have liked this bundle.

PREPARE FOR THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE WITH THE NEW ZOMBIU DELUXE SET

Feb. 8, 2013

On Feb. 17, Nintendo will release a new Wii U bundle in the U.S. and Canada that is an unbelievable value for fans. The Wii U ZombiU Deluxe Set comes with all the contents of the standard Wii U Deluxe Set, plus the addition of the ZombiU game, a black Wii U Pro Controller and a collectible booklet featuring artwork from the game and never-before-seen developer commentary. Nintendo Land will also be included as a downloadable game, rather than a packed-in disc. The jam-packed ZombiU Deluxe Set will be available at a suggested retail price of $389.99, a savings of $70 if all items were purchased separately.

In addition, people who purchase this bundle are automatically enrolled in the Digital Deluxe Promotion, a program that allows Wii U owners to receive 10 percent back in points for each download they purchase in the Nintendo eShop. These points can then be used for future Nintendo eShop purchases.

Created by Ubisoft, ZombiU is a survival-horror, first-person shooter game that puts players in the shoes of a human survivor in the middle of a terrifying plague that has infected modern-day London and turned everyone into flesh-eating zombies. ZombiU continues to be well-received by audiences and features second-screen game play that uses the Wii U GamePad controller to manage items or scan for hidden secrets in real time.

The Wii U Pro Controller is compatible with many games on Wii U. In ZombiU, it can be used by another player for local multiplayer matchups. It sports an ergonomic design and is more akin to a traditional video game controller, complete with dual analog sticks.

Wii U is the revolutionary new console from Nintendo that launched on Nov. 18. Since launch, Wii U has sold more than 3 million systems worldwide, as well as more than 11 million software units. Featuring a unique second screen on the GamePad, Wii U is the home to the largest launch library in Nintendo history, including games like New Super Mario Bros. U and SiNG PARTY from Nintendo, and Assassin's Creed III and Just Dance 4 from Ubisoft. Upcoming games like LEGO City Undercover, Pikmin 3 and Wii Fit U demonstrate that Wii U has something for every type of player.

Outspoken Platinum Games designer Hideki Kamiya made it clear Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101 are staying Wii U-exclusive unless Nintendo says otherwise. Posting on Twitter, the Bayonetta director said that the games will be published on PS3 or Xbox 360 only if Nintendo says they will, and implored fans to stop asking Platinum Games about it.

"We are a developer. Nintendo are the ones kind enough to fund and publish our The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 projects," said Kayima, according to a translation he retweeted later. "So if Nintendo says, 'We are publishing Bayonetta 2 on PS3/360,' then it will happen. So please go ask them, not us."

The news follows a week which saw the formerly Wii U-exclusive Rayman Legends delayed until September for a multiplatform release on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge being ported back from Wii U to the two rival consoles. Still more surprising than either piece of news was the announcement last year that Bayonetta 2 is coming to Wii U, and not, like its predecessor, PS3 and Xbox 360.

People still seem to be unclear on that. Nintendo is publishing Bayonetta 2 effectively making it a first party Nintendo game. Some people thunk that Bayonetta was being developed for general release and N came along and scored an exclusive deal for it, but that's not the case. The game wouldn't exist at all if N hadn't funded development.

The saga continues:
Thanks for all your feedback regarding Rayman Legends in all of its forms. We have heard you and we will continue to listen. We understand your frustration and that you want to get your hands on the game.

We are working with the development team to provide you with a new, exclusive demo for the Wii U soon. Stay tuned for more.
They really don't have a clue, do they? What a kick to the nuts this is...

I hope the playstation 4 does not fail like this, i heard they are going to use a similar technique like nintendo in this iteration in view of focusing on gameplay rather than hardware. Nintendo is still hurting despite the potential of its gamepad. Maybe sony will hurt too upon release espically given their ludacris price tag or maybe the console is already dying despite nintendo's presidents recent views on the matter. Apples app store is still growing and still hasn't reached its potential also with Sega going mobile isn't this a sign of the future.

I don't see mobile gaming in the future at all. Not like Consoles are. Mobile gaming is fun for pick up games, but You wont ever get to experience epic games on a tablet or phone. It would cost way to much to put those kinds of parts into a phone or tablet. You might as well buy a laptop. Could you imagine playing a FPS with strictly touch screen?

I've actually tried it and it sucks just as much as you think it does.

My cousin and I were talking and we believe that Sony and Microsoft may have something to do with it. Essentially spreading rumors and downtalking the system to developers and producers. You also have the problem of the Wii U pretty much being current gen while everyone is now focusing on next gen software.

I would think that they probably always do that type of thing. I think it's a big issue to where developers want to make the millions of game sales, but it's hard to do that when you can only expect like a 5% sales off an install base and there's 80 million of each of the other consoles and 4 million of the Wii U. Even the good games that came out early for the consoles didn't sell a ton when the consoles came out because there weren't enough consoles out yet.
The issue is that a lot of people are looking forward to the new Xbox or PS and I think they're wanting to skip the Wii U and go for those. The Wii U really doesn't feel like a next-gen console.

Meh, I bought a Wii U for the Nintendo titles. Thats why I purchase Nintendo systems. I wish Nintendo would get out of the console business and just focus on making kick *** games.
