Wow!

With this direction, Hot Toys has not only jumped the shark, but warped light years over the shark.

"Hey! Look! No joints! No engineering! No accessories! Two options for lame-o poses!" :duh

Can't wait for their $170 price point for this static POS. :lol

This "Power Pose" line looks like a giant, heaping serving of buyer's remorse.

I'd prefer to see an MMS figure with improved articulation, but the look of this suit is so overdesigned and busy that it's a fairly easy pass anyway. Other than the (barely redesigned) helmet, it doesn't look much like Shellhead to me. I suppose it's the reverse color scheme.

I'm surprised that HT felt the need to horn in on the <yawn> statue market.

Unnecessary and dumb.

I could get the MMS and pose it the same way then, viola, I got the same thing except with an extra headsculpt, cool features and parts.

Will buy anyway. Best thing and idea evar. Keep up the good work Hot Toys. Hope this is $270 bucks a pop. Will get 10.

In all honesty, this is pretty sweet. If it's $160 that's significantly less than the MMS will be (nearly $100 less than the Mk VII right?).

Sure, not quite as pose-able / flexible but a nice option for a less expensive Iron Man 1/6 figure, IMO. Would fit right in with other MMS Iron Man figures.

Certainly would make it more justifiable to own multiple IM figures....

14,700 Yen, or roughly 160 USD.
Expect similar prices at BBTS, and others, Although, I do expect sideshow prices to be closer to 200$, Because sideshow.

They are too busy complaining to read. No Idea why most of these people collect or come to this site because all they do is complain about every single thing. They think everything produced is directed just for them to buy.

People are just sick of Iron Man is all. For every new Iron Man they see, that's another figure that isn't BTTF, or 66 Bats, or whatever it is that's on their wish list. Iron Man is getting pretty boring, and when people are bored they tend to complain.

:exactly: I am a huge IM fan but even i would like to see some other announcements for different figures.

Upcoming there's

Koto statues
Sideshow statues
Sideshow busts
That other companies die cast figures
Hasbro figures
Hot toys 1/6th figures
Hot toys 1/4th figure (likely)
Hot toys 1/6th statues
Hot toys 1/6th dies cast figures
Hot toys 1/4th die cast (probable)
Hot toys 1/6th diorama's

Is that too many?

is it 'cool' now to be sick of Iron Man?

Well, now that we have actual pricing this all makes more sense... other than it being in the Action Figure section. :D

The Statue section is the only remaining Marvel section on this board, mods pls keep these out so it remains that way

Er, what does that mean? Do you not count the action figure section a Marvel section?

Anyway, I have no interest in this, still, but I can see the appeal a bit more now.

It means the Statue section is comprised of lots of marvel characters from all of their franchises and the figure section is nearly all just Avengers characters, kinda like how the DC figure section is basically the Batman section with the statue section more DC

the crazy part is, I would buy these if they were in their neutral pose, to go with the Hall of Armor, which I don't need them to be articulated at all. $150ish for a non posed figure + 120ish for a hall of armor piece would make it very doable for me.
