there are too many jokers and now i am confused. the hot toys version teased for later is the Arkham game version, right? is this one just sort of "generic" comic book joker or is it supposed to be a specific one?

The HT upcoming one is from Arkham City, the SS is just a comic book version, not based on any specific design.

thanks! i've looked at so many different versions in the comics/cartoons/movies/games i can't keep them straight anymore. the man who laughs is the man of many faces.

Well, if the Joker is any indication, each figure in the DC line will have its own distinctive stand "art" instead of a generic DC logo on each stand.

$189.99 is a joke [of a price] for this.

Possibly, it really depends on the quality of the final product. If they are able to match this relatively well, then I'd say bring it on. Two head sculpts, a bunch of accessories, and Kato clothes for $5 bucks less than HT's most basic figures, so long as this doesn't become habitual, I'm fine with it.

If the final product matched this, of course it would be worth it. I'm just not convinced it will. Especially the paint.

I didn't notice the chin before. Why isn't it all white? It just looks daft with that flesh bit.

I do think the second sculpt is the better of the two but, ironically, would have preferred it hatless. Ah well.

I've updated the first page of the thread with some pics and the accessories.

edit:whoops they're also posted above me
