All I see is an awesome version of a Comic style Superman.. nothing less nothing more...:)

I agree. I'm not sure what version this is, but this is what I see.

Yes and yes. I've been wanting this since it's debut at CC. I can't think of a better replacement for DC Directs less than mediocre 13'' figures than this.

I see Curt Swan and Alex Ross which is basicaly a comic book looking Superman.I am not a huge fan of Alex Ross's art i think he relies to much on photographs. All you need in Superman is a strong jaw line, distinctive eye brows and a face with very few lines some one that looks firm but fair.

It looks great, but I'm going to have to pass. Have to save up my money for the HT man of steel figs.

I do have high hopes for this line though. I'd love to see what SS can do with a Doomsday, Braniac or Zod.

so what is the price for this??..or are we still guestinmating?

This is neither an explicit comic version nor a movie tie-in so i'd expect the price to be in the $100-$130 range.
Christopher Reeve this aint, but it's still a nice representation of Superman.
Any higher than $130 and i fear they might lose their target audience(Superman fans who might be tempted to drop sub-$150 on a figure from no specific comic or movie).

While I hope the same thing I don't think it would be within that range. Not a movie tie-in, yes, but still based on a popular license. SSC's Joes aren't movie based, are not based on any Hollywood actor's likenesses (well, officially, that is), but are now priced more than $170. Joes have more accessories for sure, but I'm sure DC would charge more for the license.

That's fair comment.
If it was $170, i can see it going on sale when few people buy it, lol.

God, when you said Toy Man, it made me remember how much I want Alex Ross based 1/6th figures from SSC. Did you read Justice? I LOVE that idea of making Super Friends Toy Man into a giant marionette/robot that's controlled by comic Toy Man.

yea man loved Justice but not as much as Kingdom Come. but ToyMan is one of my favorite villains. I Love the SuperFriends look but I do like the kind of creepy porcelain doll look from Superman Animated Series too.

I don't know. I adore Kingdom Come, but I'm kind of a traditionalist, and seeing Ross take on the actual JLA that we all know and love was awesome. God, that's one of the best things to come out of TAS. That Toy Man is just soooooo creepy, and it's so unnerving to watch him. His lips don't move, and you just wonder what's behind there. A ghost, a robot? It's just insane:
