Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

One thing I'd love to see down the line (way down the line) is B/W versions of One and Two, similar to what Sideshow did with the old Classic Universal Monster line.

I doubt it'd ever happen, they'd look out of display with the rest but it'd just be cool.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

CO did it with their 5" line, so it's a doable option.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I would like A Jon Pertwee Doctor from Big Cheif, I kind of grew up with his Doctor, as I watched the old re-runs on BB2 in the mid 1990s and loved the Pertwee Doctor, I know a lot of people think Tom Baker was the only Doctor Who. Not me its Jon or no one.

Oh and a Worzel Gummidge would be insane.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Amy turns out but I'm a little torn on if I want to collect the companions too. I know I want each of the doctors for sure but do I really need the companions? Although if they make a K-9 accessory I'm totally sold.

Oh yeah. Half of the reason for the laugh.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Two questions guy's. 1) How do you get the head off? 2) What glue would be best to re-attach a suspender clip?

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

just hold him by the shoulders and pull straight up.

my suspenders broke today during futzing/breakdown-rebuild. I ended up just putting it through one of the belt loops on the pants..

i tried contacting tfaw for a replacement head (due to the red stain) but they are sold out.. so no luck there.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Man, between the head staining, buttons falling off and suspenders breaking, I hope they tighten up on QC before Tom goes into production.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Exactamundo. A couple of dudes have problems then the alarm bells for QC get sounded. The vast majority of these are proving to be great product, highlighting excellent QC.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I honestly think the buttons could fall off any of them if you accidentally tug on them with any force (as I did when swapping the hands out in my video review). They are just glued on, after all. But, that's why these are made for adults. I imagine the suspenders could be similar. To me, you just have to be careful with these things. With fragile little pieces on these items I don't know how else they could be done. The same stuff happens to Hot Toys stuff all the time. I see it less as a problem and more as just something to look out for.

Jon, did you use super glue to glue your buttons back on?

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

That's not every figure though.

QC issues are rarely every figure, but as the saying goes, once is a mistake, twice is a coincidence, three times is a pattern. There are definitely issues they can learn from and improve upon for future releases.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Is Big Chief generally slow with responding to emails? They were fairly quick when I made inquiries as to buying a figure, often responding on the same day, but now that I've got a problem with a figure I'm getting nothing.

I know they're busy and understaffed, but... :impatient:
