Congrats Mirakle32.

I see your Wolfie's been watching Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video. :D

I do like that picture . And yeah, Wolfman looks very happy to be going from black and white, to blue.

Same here. I plan on watching Frankenstein tonight once I'm off work. It's hard to resist putting on right now as it is, lol.

Haha I know, I kind of wanted to just shut myself away for about a day and just work my way through the whole lot. Just gonna start now with dracula. For me that needs to be the first one I watch.

I didn't get to finish Frankenstein last night, my gf fell asleep and I'm trying to do Halloween things with her.. So I'm going to watch it again tonight. However, my first impression is that it's definitely a huge improvement. I actually found myself getting a bit frightened, haha. I think get a much better idea of Boris' acting, and you can see what he's doing better, especially in the face. At least for me anyway.

I know what you mean.

It's fun sharing the Halloween spirit with others. The problem I have is, not many have the endurance or passion I have for this thing. :lol

Haha, I hear you there. I think most of us "posters" are isolated, in our personal lives anyway, in our passion for what we post about. At least this isn't animated, so my gf will watch it. God forbid it be the same story and quality, if it's not live action she won't watch it. :lol

She won't even watch any of the Pixar stuff or Tim Burton stop-motion flicks? She's missing out if not.

You're probably spot on with this statement. I post about things that I would never talk about face to face with people. Folks tend to make judgements about you if they discover you are into all things nerdy. Its even worse if you're into monster movies and horror films. Talk about it here. In the semi anonymity of cyberville.:peace:peace

It's a fine line. She said she enjoyed Nightmare Before Christmas, and she'll usually watch Pixar stuff with her little sister; but I don't think either are that interesting to her. lol. I agree, but what can you do? She loves the Michael Halloween movies though, so I guess that's one positive. Plus she seems to enjoy the Universal stuff as well. I think this set is great for anyone who knows someone who is so-so about this sort of thing, b/c the improved quality really makes a difference.

I've watched Dracula so far and will be watching the rest in very short order. Funny thing... I've been watching Dracula for about 40+ years now, and I've become so used to the background hiss that at first, it was a bit jarring NOT to hear it anymore... but I got over it very quickly! Very impressive restoration! Can't wait to watch the rest! My only decision is whether to watch Frank and Bride on blu before seeing them in the theater on the 24th?

lol, I love internet forums. It's a great outlet for all my nerdy thoughts. I mean, I can't just up to a friend and be like "dude, why did they bring Kraven back to life, fix Kaine, and change who Spider-Man was?!? WTF". lol. Then getting into horror movies, that's a whole different ball game. I love the classics, b/c it's not all about shock and gore. The story draws you in and frightens you just as much as the acting, effects, and other elements.

Anyone that has this set...

Is the Dracula movie the one that has the revised score by Philip Glass?

Yes, you can play the movie with the Philip Glass score. :yess::yess:

Thank you for confirming.

The first time I watched the movie with this re-score I actually thought it did a great job of filling-in a lot of the silence the movie had throughout.

I still, however, would like the option to watch the movie in it's original state, the way the director intended it to be.

I so agree with this statement! Also I have gotten, about all my PF's, "you mean you collect dolls?" :gah:
