I'm not sure what someone who is looking at 12'' body with a certain level of poseability is expecting, honestly. The human body has certain design limitations (2 arms, 2 legs, one head, one torso) and as I understood it BCS took quite a bit of time and effort to make a body that suited their needs just so, probably looking at the best of what was out there and making adjustments.

So, yes, calling it a knock-off seems a bit silly to me. It's not like it wouldn't have been cheaper for them to just use a ready-made body if that's what they wanted to do. Going through the expense of tooling a new body (not cheap) was obviously motivated by wanting to do something better.

Right so, they are good because they are like HT's but they are not good because they are too much like HT's which makes them bad but they are not bad because HT make goo bodies and if you copy them they maust also be good but....

I'm kinda excited to see that they are going to do David Tennant Dr.Who. When I went to their site I was kinda underwhelmed that the figure body they are using is a knockoff Hot Toys slim body. I love Hot Toys and all but I think there is still more that can be done with 1/6 body design without every company making a Hot Toys knockoff.

OH MY GOD! You mean BigChief's bodies have arms and legs and they bend at the joints, just like Hot Toys bodies do? Now that I look closely, they even have detachable hands, and a place to stick a sculpted head on! Those sneaky bastards at BC may have tried to cover up such deceit with 1:6 scale clothing, but you have finally uncovered the truth, good sir. The press must be told immediately!

Wait...1:6 scale clothing...I'm pretty sure I've seen that kind of thing before too. Oh. My. God. Does it never end with these guys?

Well, exactly. They should have made them 11 inches too 'cause that's what we were crying out for.

Ok, nice having fun with body jokes. . Personally I am glad the body is compatible with other companies. It gives the collector more options. Sideshow's body is the same too.

I will be ordering Tom Baker (4th) Doctor when he up for order. As well as the 10th Doctor. I surely do hope they will make the eighth and the ninth doctors! All the doctors are going to be fun to collect, but I really don't have the same enthusiasm for the companions besides Rose. Oh, I would like some Daleks and perhaps some other villains. But I am not sure if I am going to collect the Weeping Angels. I can't wait for Sherlock figures! I am buying those as well!

Oh, one thing I did wonder - as Matt is quite skinny and Tom is a bit fuller, do you think they'll put some sort of stuffed body suit on him? I'm assuming at this point they aren't developing multiple bodies?

The layers f clothing is a good point. The figure will need to be a lil slimmer to have these clothes look right.

I really hope that they follow the same path with monsters as they have with Doctors and give us what we want in the order we want it! So please, let's not get a foamasi or Hoix announced first, I'd like:
1. Genesis or Dead Planet Dalek
2. Invasion or Revenge Cyberman
3. Genesis Davros
4. Roger Delgado Master
5. RTD Dalek

And some more Hinchcliffe monsters:

6. Robot of death
7. Magnus Greel
8. Sutekh

Some really good choices, especially the monsters, Magnus Greel would look great next to Tom in his Sherlock style outfit.

Wish list time?
Well, let's see. Amy is scheduled to out in December based on the pic. The 10th Doctor up for po later this month with the 4th Doctor next month (hopefully). So that gives us a December release, a 1st and 2nd qtr release for 2013.
That'll be 3 Doctors, 1 companion ( not forgetting the expansion packs) and of course the Angel diorama figure.
Realistically I doubt there will any chance of a Master till after a 3rd Doctor release. I know that's what I'd wait for, and release him directly behind 3rd Doctor ( have it po'd on week of release). I think this will be more like 2014.
Later 2013 releases... A really good DALEK, with lights and detail, so maybe a battle damaged RTD version. Cybermen have been done well by CO, but with limited possibility so quite difficult to justify a hi end release, so I'm up for one if they go cattle damaged again. I got the mk1 Iron Man today, and he's all retro, grundgy and full of wires and bits. It's so cool. A Cyberman done like that would be great, and actually, a first Doctor Cyberman would make a very cool figure.
That's me for now. Looking forward to getting my Amy figure.
