Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS 186- Avengers: Hulk- official specs and pics

Calm down. Turn off caps lock, lol. I'm going to repeat what I said, he made a good argument and you told him he clearly doesn't like it and he doesn't have to buy it. Problem fixed. Someone else will buy it!

What kind of a response is this? Earlier you said some people who are complaining about the price are doing so because they can't afford it and they don't want to admit it.

First of all why do you care so much ? And you're not even contributing to the site about the actual figure. At least he and I were disagreeing about the figure. Put me on ignore if you don't like what I'm saying please. Just don't acuse me of something that's not true. You are the only person that took offense to what I said. The person I was quoting hasn't even voiced in about being offended. And thats probably cause it wasn't meant to be offensive nor is it offensive. I'm sorry that you read between the lines. It simple wasn't meant the way you took it.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS 186- Avengers: Hulk- official specs and pics

i find it's best to just enjoy what we have in front of us! i know we all like to point out what can be improved and how it should be cheaper, we all want the figure to be exactly how we imagine it to be. but at the end of the day, just enjoy seeing the figure made and stare in wonder at how it turns out.

all these figures are never perfect but they are wonderful in their own way, not unlike different people are.

whether you pose them or play with them, it brings joy and fun!!! (occasionally heartache...)

that's what i love about this hobby and collecting.
it's worth it.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS 186- Avengers: Hulk- official specs and pics

We still fighting about the price or what?...:dunno

Im done arguing about price. Like I said you either buy it or you dont. HT aint lowering their prices and the next HT Hulk offering is going to be even more, so Ill happily take this one for the price I paid.

People can argue that its not worth $300 until the cows come home and its still not going to change the price.

Clearly, you don't like Hulk.

Actually I do like it. I criticize aspects of him as they relate to his cost, but simply looking at the figure for it's appearance, I think it looks amazing. I am frustrated that HT is charging so much though, as I am under particular budget circumstances an I don't feel justified giving up so much for this one figure, at a lower price I'd feel different.

I really just wanted to engage in a conversation as Hulk and this figure are subjects I'm interested in talking about.

Over the past few months I did think the the price would be way beyond the $300 mark so I was pleasently surprised that it came in just uner the $300 mark (depending on where you order from). What's done is done. We may aswell debate/argue about something else now.:lol

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS 186- Avengers: Hulk- official specs and pics

That doesn't mean anything, that's just to lock the actor in.

Vinnie Jones has a 3 picture deal with Fox.... we won't be seeing Juggernaut anytime soon.

Like I say it's all up in the air right now, who knows if Hulk will be in Avengers 2. Especially if he has his own TV show they may want to keep him out of it.

Ok... :cuckoo:

Do you have any rewards points through SS? I ordered through sideshow and used $40 Rewards points to bring it down to $260. Then with the NRD being $30, its like getting this guy for $230 when he ships next year. Thats not bad at all. IMO.

Well that sucks. I'm staying away from the 1/4 stuff becase I know the prices on those will take things to another level. I am spending WAY too much on these than I first anticipated. But they are so damn cool, I can't resist. And I'll keep buying them as long as I can afford to. When I can't, I'll stop.

Im definitely staying away from the 1/4 scale stuff unless HT takes on my top 5 favorite characters then I may look at them, but otherwise Im staying away. I know I definitely wont be getting a 1/4 HULK. :lol

Unfortunately no, I've really quieted with purchases through them an used all my points up awhile ago, which sucks cuz I'd rather this hulk than the Godzilla I bought with the points. Like some have said, this may be found for deals on release, which is also a ways off from now I'm sure.

Part of my issue with the price is having the Diamond Marvel Select Hulk from Avengers. Not even in the same league of overall quality, but with Diamond I felt I was underpaying for how it looked and what it could do. With HT, I'm a little surprised by some of their choices, like why make arms out of material that could break more easily to gain a very minimal amount of articulation instead of using a more durable material with no articulation or a somewhat obvious joint. Compared to Hulk's feet, an elbow joint like ther current muscle bodies would look less noticable. You can tell they did all they could to hide joints, but I'm from tha camp that wants maximum action out of figures and embraces joints within reason, which I think the HT and Enterbay muscle bodies achieve.

1/4 scale has always been an exception for me, has to be a really treasured character and I have to be really happy with the look of it all, much more so than smaller scales, space and money make you more discriminate.

Thats a bummer. Ive actually started using SS more recently because of the FREE Domestic Shipping and the Rewards Points and the fact that they get their shipment out to collectors before retailers as of late. Having to wait a moth or so more for releases like DX05 or DX06, 08 and 09 kinda sucked. I was hoping to have more points ready for Hulk too, but DX07 was delayed so Im bummed I couldnt use more for him. But what can you do. :dunno

I understand why they went with the arms the way they did, but honestly I would have been fine with joints. I can accept these as high end FIGURES more so than others so either way wouldnt bother me. And as much as I would have liked the extra head/base/hands that I was assuming it was going to come with, Im glad they didnt include them if it would have made the price over $300. So Ill take this bare bones version no problem.

Im sure a Banner release with a roaring Hulk head will probably be in the future and a Hulk 2.0 with a base and more accessories, but I can pick those up loose down the road if I want them that bad. :lol
