Yes, that would have been nice.

Who knows... we may still see a War Machine Battle Damaged version, which "should" include a Cheadle reveal sculpt inside the helmet.

Welcome to the forums. :welcome

Im considering picking this guy up.

Can anyone tell me if there are any common defects?

the only major thing i can think of is the ab crunch on him being a weak point. you don't want to play with it too much.

If you are buying used, ask if the seller used the base it came with. The stand holder is made of metal, which scratches the warmachine up around the waist area. If you bought one NIB, remember to never use the base!

You can't go wrong with these 2 and the War Machine special edition although more comic book accurate than the movie is a better looking figure IMO ! Also I just want to ask..do you think Terrance Howards chemistry with Robert Downey JR was better than Don Cheadle ? I'm a fan of Cheadle -I think generally he has greater acting range but I think Howards chemistry was better with Robert Downey and I think he would of made a better War Machine .

I personally like Cheadle's Rhodey compared to Howards. He puts more emotion into his lines and doesn't look like he's reading cue cards.

:lol Cue cards I never noticed that , that would definitely influence your opinion. After watching the first movie again yesterday I just believed in the friendship more than in Iron Man 2 . I think Howard as War Machine would of been interesting to see.

@Centcom Thanks....the shot was taken when it was fairly new it's a lot dimmer now ! Future shots will be photoshopped for sure .

That is a fantastic picture.
I think it's a cop out that they never made the hands able to hold the repulsor blast pose without a slight modification.

I liked Howard as Rhodey better too...they seem like they're the best of friends whereas in Iron Man 2, with Cheadle as Rhodes, I somehow got the feeling that Rhodes somehow resented Tony.

:goodpost: I agree with you 100% ! I thought it was just me that saw something that I could attribute to resentment on Rhodey's part . But I don't think it was meant to be that way.

Exactly! Like how they had that little 'bromance' on the plane....there was no similar vibe from Don.

It was all about the money. The studio didn't want to give more. Howard had to try but didn't know it would backfire and got him fired. Howard had more chemistry with Robert, don was too serious. Also I hate when they change actors in a series.

Not sure about the chemistry but the story seemed to be written to have them, or Tony, more at odds with Rhodes & the government. I think it was meant to be adversarial to make it seem more logical when Rhodes takes the Mark II. Still felt forced and out of character for them to be such good friends.

Right ! I heard that Howard was overpaid for Iron Man I because he was casted before they revamped the budget. Maybe they asked him to renegotiate and take a pay cut prior to filming and he declined wanting to act for the amount he was initially contracted for and they decided to get even with him on the second film. It's a shame I think Iron Man II would have been even better . Also, I don't know if this is true but I heard his salary for Iron Man, because he was hired early and before Downey was casted, was higher than Downey.

Whats the best way to remove the neck? Been trying for awhile but seems harder to get off then the mark VI....

Wouldn't recommend it as the WM figure has a really fragile joint that connects the lower to the upper abs that has been known to break rather easily. I contemplated removing his neck before as I wanted to replace the batteries for the head, but in the end I asked my dad for help and he managed to do it without removing the neck.

If you really want to try though, I presume that you should probably hold onto the lower abs area near the waist and exert A LOT of pulling force on that neck haha..

Yea I can't get any grip because his shoulder armor is in the way.
I wanna take out the batt cause of the leakage.
Anyone recommend using needle nose pliers?

The neck post is easy enough to remove so long as you rotate the neck 15 degrees away from front-centre and then lever it against the collar. It should take very little force at all doing it this way.
