Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

If the Hulk can achieve this pose then he should fit in my display and I'll probably pick him up!

I doubt the legs have that much movement, but i'd love to be wrong.

What a difference!

Yeah, modified neck looks better.
What's up with HT and the long necks? :gah: :lol

I think Long Necks is HT signature detail or something :lol this figure needs a shorter neck for sure tho, he really completes the look of a squat beast. It's not gonna hinder articulation any further cause as you can see in the pics below he won't have much head movement forward and back as is. Taking a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the neck won't hinder anything. But it will make him look more accurate.

Found these on flickr. They are uncredited.

The sheen on the arms really makes it look like they are a hard plastic and not rubber, but for now, who knows?

Also: the fact that his arms are bent in the exact same angle every different time we've seen him, makes me believe they are solid as well.

I'm with you on this, i'm thinking they went hard plastic. They know the will be a s***storm if a year from now Hulk figures start falling apart. I still hope the may be an extra set of arms with a smash or throwing a punch pose but its unlikely imo.

All in all, if HT shrink the neck a little i'll be more than happy with this figure. If they cut the hair down a bit and add an extra set of arms i'll be chuffed.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

He wont. HT has already said that the Hulk "wont be all rubber" so that implies that some parts WILL.

No it really doesn't imply anything beyond precisely what he said. Because it was a rough translation. He could possibly be referring to a pvc mold around the torso, but even that I am skeptical of.

And in the same interview he adamantly declared that Widow would have sculpted hair. So even Howard doesn't know what Howard is talking about.

:dunno

Are there HT staff there to ask questions to?

I don't think the figures posed themselves (though if they could, it would explain the recent increase in prices).

It means, if translated accurately, that the figure will be between 0-99% rubber, making it meaningless.

Or that there could have been two Headsculpts and the licensor picked the rooted head version, which is out of Howards control.

Ill stick with what Howard said till I see the official specs and pics. No reason to asume otherwise.

Yes HT posed the figures. What Im saying, were HT staff available to TALK TO at the show? Artists that actually do the sculpting/design of the figure. Not just sales/spokes people.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Great figure but i think hot toys could have done better! Hot toys has so many releases and deadlines to meet and I think they feel rushed! In my opinon I would rather wait longer for pieces and have them look outstanding than have them all rushed. Plus its easier on the wallet lol

Agreed. Though I rather enjoy seeing all the pics of the upcoming releases I fear for deadlines and QC.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

That looks pretty damn nice. My only critique is the lack of, what appears to be, arm articulation.

:exactly: I saw this for the last time in theaters today before grabbing on blu ray. Hulk is an absolute must....

Looks like cracked rubber at the elbow to me.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2

Hard to say for sure. Could just be the way his elbow is sculpted.

Easy decision for me. Rubber = pass. Plastic = instant buy.
