Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Highly disappointed with this one right now. It's a tough figure to pull it off though, even for Hot Toys... I'll give it that. It just looks too "toyish" to me.

I think all of these guys will look better in a team setting on a shelf. In this case, the whole looks much better than the individual pieces.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

So glad that Hot Toys is making him, but somehow after seeing today's pictures it doesn't have that "wow" factor. I'm sure it will change after some tweaks. Out of that whole Avengers set up, I'm loving how Cap is posed the most.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I think he looks pretty great overall, the articulation is about what I'd expect given the bulk of him. A 2nd set of arms (bent at the elbow) would actually be a great idea... But I'm guessing the best we'll get us a 2nd set if hands and maybe a neutral head.

Unless this is over $350 I'll be in.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

wait, so the arms aren't rubber?

dang, this whole time I was thinking he had rubber arms with swapable hands, but I mean if you can't even move the elbows then that just sucks

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

My only concern with this prototype is the gap between the sculpted arms and the torso. Is it not possible to tighten it up a bit? Also, I think they'll offer sculpted arms to make different poses.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I hope they are going to do more work. I really don't like that he'll have barely any articulation. I have no problem seeing the joints, it's an action figure for crying out loud, not a staction!

It's a highly detailed collectible meant for display, just like a statue. Only that it has the capability of changing poses. It's basically a statue with articulation. The argument that these collectibles needs to have visible joints because they are action figures is tiresome.

Visible joints? No. Some joints? Yeah.

I still think that HT need to change the color of his hair and skin, and it will look much more awesome despite the scale issue.

Oh really? So... why is nearly every 1/6 ACTION figure (or DOLL if you prefer) made with more articulation than any other scale figure? Just go buy Premium Format figures if you want to display a figure like statue. Me personally, I like the merger between realism and function, it's part of the beauty of them. You don't like what I have to say? Ignore me bud, and I'll ignore you. Problem solved. I see so much _____ing and whining here about peoples opinions and not actual product. Just move along.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

looks to me that the HS i in a static pose...i wonder if the head will be moveable.

It's just speculation at this point.
Personally-
Switchable Arms > Rubber Arms

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

not convinced so far , i was planning to collect all the avengers figures but now i'm considering to only buy the ones that really turned out great like Loki and Captain America

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I can't understand how you guys thought you would be able to bend the arms?? Look how bloody thick they are!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

This must be a joke? it looks like a $19.99 hasbro figure. HT is dropping the balls all over the place with the avenger figures..
