Well they said they outsourced their painting..and that Buffy Faith...holy crap she looked bad. I dont have a pic on tap, but I remember seeing it a few months back (Dont collect Buffy)

Well dont let me sway you..in the end its all about your personal feelings on it. I should have mine Wed. so I will know better..but I think I have seen enough with in hand pics..they colors arent going to change..the vest I can try and futz with...and no..I am not repainting it. Which just flipped a switch...maybe SSC should sell the figures unpainted at a discount and save us all the trouble of stripping the original paint off to repaint sculpts?

It's been good seeing more and more "in-hand" shots popping up...it's interesting seeing the variety of looks the figure ends up up based on how much the figure is "futzed" or how it's posed....

Watched Fett's scenes in ESB again...and the flat look of the chest plates is looking like less of an issue to me (as well as how the color appears...really depends on the lighting)...one question for those that have him though is....can the vest be "pushed in" towards the chest at all? I'm thinking if yes, a velcro patch on the jumpsuit/chest armor to hold it in might help tone down that "box" look....I'm talking something similar to what some of us did with the Stormtrooper chest piece to pull it in on the sides towards the body more...just a thought...

Lucas got the color all wrong.

hahaha..he sure did.

And yes..there are many colors involved..I have studied Fett quite a bit..I am almost finished comprising my own lifesize Fett which I have been working on for the past 4 years (ESB) I just need boots, shin tools, and Jumpsuit..and I have to paint his gauntlets.. I have painted everything myself and have tried to get it as screen accurate as possible. Off hand I think his helmet has 5 shades of green? Lower back, two cheeks, Top, ears

I dont know what you did on the stormy, but I had to use a heat gun to warm the chest and back armor and mold them better

there is a velco strap at the back if the vest but you can't really unstrap it because there is a piece of back amour piece screwed into the vest. the back armour piece is for hanging the backpack. i guess if you unscrew the back armour then you can remove the vest and do some modifications.

Thank you. :duff

yeah,he screws up everything...:nana:
but what do you really think about the color?serious answer would be nice for once..

I don't know what I think of it. I have yet to see it for myself.

It has looked different in different shots where the lighting is different. I don't so much like the ones that are heavily lit, but at the same time, that green looks closer to the screenshot you posted.

I agree on seeing it in hand for the helmet..but most pics look like they almost went with a Hunter green for the top..it should be much lighter.

I'll look into that when I get him....

The color may be a little deep, but I don't think its that off if you fire up the BR. Again, as someone stated, it seems to vary by light source, so your idea in hand and where you display him may influence what you think. Personally, I don't mind if it is a little deep I plan on having this character forever and I look at this as a little "fade" protection over the years :lol

I haven't received mine yet but soon. However my friends just a suggestion. Maybe we should post our concerns on SSC F/B page? It might be better then sending the co. website an email w/our concerns.

Just a thought. :peace

I just took a pic of the back and see what you guys make of it...
