You can contact them after a conversion to change it to flexpay so long as the conversion isn't when it's in stock and ready to ship.

Not so fast my friend.

I was on the waitlist for Commander Bacara's exclusive which converted. I then contracted SSC directly to get it put onto a FlexPay and was told specifically that they DO NOT Flex Exclusive Waitlist conversions. I went around and around with them and was told that if an WL for something EX converts a Flex conversion would not be honored and an email would be sent if I did it to offer me the chance to keep the one payment or cancel. I ended up canceling which is ironic since it was delayed.

I would double check with SSC before planning on jumping on a WL with the idea of converting it to FP.

As an aside for tomandshell they did that at the Ansin/Taylor/Kelly show. All digital on iPads. Just touch the picture of the print(s) to order, auto-added to cart... totaled, tax added, swipe the card.... done.

Awesome! We're living in the future.

And my phone is better than Captain Kirk's.

Not to mention even with what little time it took to place orders not having to do that allows for more time to do other things there.

Just playing devil's advocate here so don't get mad...

...but what other things? It's a booth at SDCC. There are limited functions. As someone who's worked a booth there (and a darn busy one with lots of products) for a decade.... you pretty much take orders and talk about product/answer questions. The set-up is done. I know Sideshow passes out GCs and holds some booth contests, but I can't imagine those were so demanding they had to stop taking orders to divert employee hours to help in those areas.

Not taking orders there means one thing... less employees working. Less overhead in the way of salaries, hotel reservations, food etc. same with not offering attendee pickup of exclusives. It's a cost cutting method. And let me say there's nothing wrong with that. But let's call it what it is.

Can't wait to see you all down there!! Still gonna be a blast!

Yah R2 was one of my favorite characters. I always thought C3PO to be a little annoying similar to Jar Jar Binks. Maybe SSC will one day release them individually but that is probably wishful thinking

R2 is the best. If they did a PF of him I was planning putting him in family room. Needless to say goldenrod isnt going in family room. Huge mistake by sideshow...give us r2!!!

If your on a WL and it converts, you can not request it for Flex Pay. They will not do it. They will only give you a choice to keep it or cancel it. However, if it's about to charge, you can request to have them charge it the following week or 5 business days after.

Well, poop!

And :lol at your gif.

Crap, I somehow made my order for the regular. Not sure how I did that as it was during the time the item was up. I think the NRD on the regular threw me. Looks like I'm SOL on this one

I saw this go up when I got the tweet, saw the note about "less than 100 remain" as soon as I got the tweet, so I'm wondering if the Exclusive is only around 100 pieces. $750 is too much for me, not a big enough fan, but I'll definitiely be watching this to see what the final product looks like.

So whats the difference between Reg and Ex? The base only? Or also the paint job on the droids themselves?

Clean vs. dirty paint job and separate vs. joined base.

I like clear better..... Maybe because I am not a sw fan, but I still getting it.

So Ex. is separate bases with clean paint job and Reg. is joined base with dirty paint?

I don't know if I like that. Why not offer both bases for the Ex and I don't even know what to say about having two different paint jobs.

:lecture Exactly. Sideshow's booth used to be one of the first places to hit at SDCC, I'd not THE first. Now it's almost an afterthought. I'll just drop by when I'm in that area of the Exhibit Hall. Absolutely nothing exciting or special about it anymore though.

Still looking forward to seeing everything and the con will be fun, as always. But Sideshow is taking a huge pee in the SDCC punchbowl for the past couple of years. I'll spend my time at booths that make an effort and special event out of it.

What a great looking set. Just too much $$ for me to spend right now.

Congrats to those getting it. I love this set.

The Ex you clean. And it comes with seperate bases.

The Ex you only get dirty but with a sand base.

I want clean set with the sand base.........go figure! :lol
