I'm very happy they are re-releasing this. I always regretted selling mine, so I can get it back in my collection. Just gotta wait for The Bat to go up now.

I doubt I comes with a figure. It's not.

I'm just happy we get a second chance to get this. Did the original release come with the extra wired cape for Bats? I think it did.

Just for fun:

Wow same pictures with lame photoshop!
seriously?

That is funny. Either two things or both...

Cutbacks showing...
Or they're just cheap... (Well, I think we've all came to that conclusion with all the QC problems over the years to the current day.)

I mean look at it, it's not even the original MMS TDK figure. Both were prototypes. Can tell with the pattern of the tyre tread. Looks like cheap plastic. They are more than capable of making new photos with the photographers they have for the released Bat-Pod and DX02.

They could have made it more challenging with exciting cinematic photos and made it harder for fans to guess if it was a re-release. Yet there you go, someone has already slapped the old white backdrop photos on top of the manipulated versions.

I've said this to MaulFan for years. It really bugs me how they never update their product photos. There's just no excuse to this day when you have officially released products and not make new photos. Unless they're just that lazy. EFFORT! :panic:

anyone who has the batpod already in their collection, is it worth it? :) from this TDKR line, i was only interested to get batman and bane, but i'm still undecided to get the batpod, knowing it won't eat a lot of space in any room compare to the tumbler or the soon to be released the bat

I'm thinking along your lines. My wife would kill me if I got a tumbler but this... Looks sleek/compact and won't take up half a room. I missed all this first time around so I am selfishly glad they are coming out with the pod again.

been asking is the tumbler worth it no ones bothers to say anything guess its not worth it

It's definitely worth it. The detail is gorgeous. Plus the size of it. It's one of those things you really appreciate in your own view that no photo can capture. The fragile details all the intricate work. Plus when you see it on your desk and observe the sheer scale. It's quite something to take in after a while. The texture on the plates, so many little things you admire for hours on it.

A bit like Agen's photography. Your eyes melt when you see it for real. :D

thanks for the feedback and also the pics :D i like hearing all those detail u said and that pic of the pod with batman standing is awesome, kinda makes me want to print out the same backdrop as that one too :lecture

I thought it was $250

This better be no more than $299

MSRP on the first one was $225

It was definitely $295 from DC Direct for the Batpod when it first came out. I paid $250 off eBay but the eBay seller told me he paid $299 from Toys2 for it.. But people sold it for all different prices. You can see mwctoys.com review of it back in 2009 and he mentions what other companies sold it for: https://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_011609b.htm. Sideshow never carried it.

and the Tumbler was $399. I got the Tumbler off eBay for $450 shipped back in the day as well.

Is it worth it? For me YES because I love Nolan's Batman, and this was a must have for me. And its an amazing piece. incredible details. Batmans figure fits perfectly on it. Just a great 1/6 replica of the Batpod. I was blown away when I first got it. When you see the size of it, its a really phenomenal piece. I got the Tumbler a few weeks later and that was jaw dropping! The only thing i hope they fix how they handle bars on the reissue Batpod attach, because they have a tendency to pop off easily.

Yes the original has the extra wired cape.
