Lets pray that it will not be flat paint, or it will have to go straight to the painter again!

Re: Rhino Comiquette under developement?

i know sideshow alex confirmed it's 1/4 but it looks really small next to the spider comiq... is this really 1/4 or more like 1/4.8.9989 rounded down?

Someone pointed this out to me a while back - the Spidey com is actually bigger than 1/4 scale.

Re: Rhino Comiquette under developement?

Dam Sideshow really outdid themselves this time!! Lets hope the mass produced Rhino is remotely close to the prototype

Spidey is clearly on a building while Rhino is on the ground. Is everything a "line" though? At this point it's all just Marvel.

This is true. However, it's not like we haven't seen Rhino charge Spidey while he's hanging on a wall. Each of these statues are true to their characters. Spidey being on a wall and Rhino charging him from street level makes perfect sense. IMHO, I think they'll display well together.

Re: Rhino Comiquette under developement?

The "lines" are crossed anyway. Some X-Men are in action poses, some are museum, some are on a X, some aren't. And Spidey is clearly on a building while Rhino is on the ground. Is everything a "line" though? At this point it's all just Marvel.

Umm yes they are all Marvel but certain characters are still developed with a theme in mind. Cyclops is the only X-Men that has an action pose and environmental base if you take away Wolverine (I'm willing to bet that the brown ver. will be on the X base). If you go watch the Psylocke video they even talk about having a consistent style and theme.

Re: Rhino Comiquette under developement?

The 8 stages of a marvel release. We are currently between stage 3 and 4.

1) Wish: if only this marvel character gets a statue :impatient:

2) Hype: SS announces the character, yes yes yes! :hi5:

3) Excite: SS releases the ap photos painted by the best in the biz, excitement explodes, many orders placed. :yess:

4) Hope & Pray: the finished product by chinese migrant workers will look the same!

5) Self Denial: my statue will arrive look better than those inhand photos, it looks better in person! :nono

6) Anger & (empty)Threats! never ordering another ss product! $400 for this?!? i am suing!

7) Exhaustion: I just want my replacement, you said how many more months??? :ohbfrank:

8) Acceptance: We are all sheeps, it will look okie from a distance, next statue should be better... :bow

Cyclops will probably match another PF down the line

I've seen that video. I agree with everything you said. Still there's a mentality that every Spider-Man piece and every X-Men PF is part of a "line" just because they're characters of the same stable. The X base X-Men are all in Jim Lee costumes the characters wore at the same time, so yeah, that's a line. Storm is probably not in that line. The Olivetti Spidey Comiquette trio is a definite line. That said, I wouldn't say every 1/4 Spider-Man character is part of a line. These arent numbered Hallmark ornaments. But at the end of the day if Kraven has a jungle base and Lizard is in a lab, if they look cool that's what's most important.
