Quick one. I didn't like the length of the neck so I did a mod.

The main purpose for this figure for me was to complete my Marks 1-6, but I must say I really like this suit. Its clean and has nice proportions. Really digging it.

Oh and I wanted to post on this:

As far as what's new, everything but the fists and feet are totally new compared to the old MKII.

The articulated hands are shared with all the Iron Man II figures.

I don't have a Battle Damaged Mark III so I can't compare that… but I think the only thing it shares with that is the flaps, forearms, and maybe parts of the upper torso. Everything from the ribcage down is totally new to this figure (except the aforementioned feet).

Awesome comparison pics! Got mine last night. Was suprised at how heavy the box was! Also had a small issue with my left arm lighting up, but after tapping it a few times it seemd to be ok.

The articulation is more limited in some respects and less limited in others and makes for a more posable figure when compared to the old MkII. I actually don't even miss the ab articulation from the other Iron Man 2 figures as really I never use it since it tends to kinda look weird.

This guy seems to have WAY better balance than the old MkII and MkIII. Those guys are so top heavy even just standing up straight they're liable to take a dive.
Mostly due to the new Mk.2 torso/body is mostly an empty shell.. as oppose to the multiple internal parts of the old.

Actually it has a lot more to do with the rubber than anything else. Another reason I don't like rubber on figures. Hellboy for example is very top heavy as well.

Took a few more comparison pics. The new one has less range of movement in some areas but overall makes for more natural looking poses. The new lights are also so much brighter.

Oh and excuse the fists on the old MKII. The splayed hands are packed away in the box and I didn't feel like digging them out.

They made a really nice job of the chest plate. Look how pathetic the Mark V silver is next to this.

The other thing is they can't seem to nail the steep shoulders up to the neck. Look at the bust. Even the Mark V. Nearly human flat.

Agreed. The Mk.V silver was more grey and had no sheen. Very matte in it's finish.

The Mark V is very glossy. You guys are driving me nuts with mixing your finish terms. It's very glossy but non-metallic.

Got mine today. Its really an awesome figure. Even though I already have the original Mark II, I love it. And the packaging is the best since the Iron Man I line.:hi5::yess:
