My mark vi's left knee is failing, now it swings with no friction. How do you take his leg out for repair? Do you remove his panties first or just pull it right out?

I don't understand it, he was still fine last week, and he wasn't played around with. but the joint just seems to break itself.

Sorry about the confusion. I saw that post, but its about disassembling after taking the leg off iron man. i need help with the part getting there by how to remove the leg to get it started.

Dude, your pics are freaking sick!!!

good stuff man, thanks for sharing.

anyone have the shoulder munition pod cover break? The cover that articulates when you use the clear plastic paddle thing to expose the munition pod. I opened it and while i was closing it it just came right off. I looked inside and the pins were plastic and really thin. I did not use any excessive force it just came right off. Anyone have this same issue and know how to fix it?

I don't understand how people keep breaking their hot toys figures. I have a variety of them and push them to the limit when posing them and have yet to have something break on its own like everyone always says. I know there are sometimes factory defects but if you're messing with a small and delicate piece and it breaks, its likely because you did something you shouldn't have, not that it just broke miraculously.

As far as fixing it, its very small and hard to work with so unless you want to take the while torso apart, just glue it in place and call it a day...

this is the first time that something broke on one of my hot toys. mark 6 is my 9th or 10th hot toy. It is really weird i think it is most likely a defect because I am always super careful when i handle them. Also the munitions cover will stay in place if I just put it back onto the figure just that it won't articulate like its supposed to since tat swing piece inside snapped. that piece is like less than .3mm in diameter i wonder why they would use such a delicate piece.

This figure certainly isn't the most "solid" that HT has made...certainly not on par with War Machine or the Mark V. I'm guessing it's because of the many switch-out parts that comes with the figure, and that's probably why people are saying the IV is a better figure overall in terms of its solidity, even though the IV and VI should essentially be identical, save for the shape of the reactor.

No...sorry :( the other day one of the elbows on my DX02 broke and my solution was to ship it off to eBay lol

Whats up everyone?? Im a new collector.. Iam stuck between the VI and iv.. need help on deciding which one to get first.. thanks in advance

Its only more solid because you can't make it look badass with all the battle damaged parts and the Stark head its only useful if you want Stark on the shelf instead of Iron Man.

Seriously though when I had the Mark VI he never looked as good on my shelves as the Mark IV does with the Tony Stark sculpt. The mark VI though is my favourite suit and that's why I'll be giving it a second chance when the new Avengers version inevitable is released :wink1:

I have nothing against the iv, just prefer the break up of colors with the silver accents and the battle damage options. You really can't go wrong with either of them.

I think they're just going to release the VII for Avengers.

Design-wise, I'd pick the VI over the IV, because I really like the silver on the suit. But, if I were given the option to choose which figure I'll get, maybe I would have gotten the IV, because I don't really care for the BD look anyways, and would be more than willing to trade that for a more all-around solid figure.

I hope HT doesn't do interchangeable parts for the VII, but that seems very unlikely :(

Doubt it, from the best I can tell from the trailers at least the most prominent suit in the film is the Mark VI and all Hot Toys would need to do is stick a new Tony Stark headsculpt on it and they'll easily sell like hot cakes. They might well release the Mark VII first but a new Mark VI will come sooner or later I'm confident about that.
